Matthews recently completed the sale of *** for me... I was extremely pleased and impressed with the way in which the agency handled the sale. After we had met Alex who valued the property and who made it so easy to choose Matthews to be our agents, I dealt almost exclusively, although not entirely, with Laura. I think that the two of us developed an understanding and telephone relationship that was efficient and fun throughout the course of the whole procedure. Laura's ability to guide me through each and every step of the process and her innate understanding of how best to react to the buyers' questions, and in a few instances "hurdles", was always "on the nail". Working with Matthews was a joy from beginning to end and I shall miss our chats. I really mean this - you couldn't have worked harder, or longer, more diligently or with greater humour. Arranged viewing. Arrived 15 minutes late due to traffic in Chester. Was not given rendezvous point or contact number of person due to be meeting me (Brian). Walked around entire area looking for him. Sent email to agent. Called office but number busy. Got through to colleague 15 minutes later. Was informed that Brian had my number but for some reason, he hadn't contacted me. Colleague called me back after speaking to him. He had left for his next appointment and had not bothered to call me to tell me. Colleague suggested I wait for 2 hours until next slot available. I asked her to contact Brian and ask why he didn't contact me. Nobody has since contacted me to offer an explanation or an apology as to what happened. I was interested in this property but due to this experience, I have no desire to follow-up my interest in it. The basic lack of competence and customer service is appalling. I would suggest any sellers to use another agent to help sell their property.

I own an apartment at John Wilkinson Court in Wrexham, and have dealt with Mathew's their block management team on a number of occasions. They are responsible for the management of the complex. I have found all members of staff to be courteous and respectful, particularly Kevin O Reilly and Haf Roberts, who have both been attentive and keen to deal with problems and issues sympathetically and delicately. Since they have taken over managing the complex, there has been a noticeable improvement in the overall running of John Wilkinson Court! They use local contractors, and have consistently adopted a can do attitude to issues and problems that I have been made aware of! They have also saved the development a considerable amount of money by negotiating a far better buildings insurance premium! I would like to thank the team, and hope that they will continue to manage the development in the future! It s comforting to know that they will, attempt to resolve issues, rather than simply appearing interested! It s actually inspiring to find people that actually want to make a difference. Excellent service. We have just sold our house through Mathews of Chester and we couldn't recommend the service they provide enough. Alex who came to value our property is really professional and knowledgeable. He really did a good job at marketing our house and it sold in no time at all. During the whole process the team in the office were really easy to deal with. Julie was overseeing the process and she was always accessible when we had a query, again very friendly and professional. Highly recommended Adam & Amy
