We loved this pub. The staff and customers were so friendly. We had a few drinks and played darts and pool. On our last night in the area we booked a table for dinner. Really good fresh food and a quite extensive menu for a pub. Good value for money and dog friendly too. Only negative, their wine list could do with an update. Such excellent food deserves better wine to accompany it. Thanks very much, we enjoyed all our visits.
We had a lovely dining experience this evening in the conservatory type area, there were two good options for vegetarians which is also nice to see. Dogs are welcome, although we left mine in the car as she was tired after the beach. The highlight for my Dutch family, who were visiting over Christmas, was that our lovely waitress Skye spotted our Dutchness and was completely fluent, which my family absolutely adored. This was in addition to the excellent service Skye provided. Thanks for a delicious meal, great desserts and excellent whiskey to send us on our way home!
Brilliant service from all the staff from bar staff to waiting on ,housekeeping too were extra friendly. The heating in our room wasn’t working and within 10 mins a plumber arrived to fix it . Cosy bar with log burner, and a menu to suit everyone .Rooms small but quirky and very comfy bed.We loved it. Parking: Great,by the door. Dietary restrictions: Good fish and cheese options for non meat eaters
Good venue, nicely spaced, good drink. Not too keen on their chips. But everything else has always been very good and tasty.Food: 3/5

Friendly staff, good food and real ales. Made you feel very welcome with their banter. Pool table and dartboard. Was very busy and lots of tables reserved and this was early March.Food: 5/5

This was a friendly pub with pleasant staff and good food. It is worth a visit and one of the few pubs in the area that takes 'walk -ins' off the street for food. Recommended. Parking: Street parking, there is ample around
Really nice and varied menu with good size portions highly recommend served in cosy atmosphere Food: 5/5
