Do our local grocery shopping here all the time. Bought a box of 2kg lychee, went home to have them and unfortunately they were mouldy. Rang the store and they said to bring the receipt but who keeps receipts for box of lychee. Really unfortunate. Waste of money and entire box was wasted due to contamination of the mould spreading. For the fruits physically grow fuzzy, it must have been moulding and may have contaminated the other boxes. When we were purchasing it, we asked an employee why its white and he said the shell is like that, but clearly not. Please double check all boxes and be aware, as that is extremely dangerous.
Great experience. Masala Bazar is a true gem. From the moment we walked in, the service was impeccable—friendly, attentive, and incredibly welcoming. The atmosphere was neat and clean. If you are looking for authentic, delicious Indian cuisine and a fantastic dining experience, look no further than Masala Bazar. We will definitely be back!
Absolutely unacceptable experience. I spent £168 in this shop, and one of the items I bought , a yoghurt ; was mouldy inside. I had the receipt, photos, and even a video as proof, yet the staff refused to replace a product worth barely £2.nnThis isn’t about the money — it’s about principle. A customer who spends nearly £170 is clearly not trying to get a free yoghurt. What matters here is the lack of customer service, poor integrity, and shocking work ethics.nnRefusing to exchange a spoiled product is not only disrespectful to customers, it also shows how little value the shop places on honesty and basic service standards. I will think twice before shopping here again, and I would advise others to be cautious too.nI would rather go to becton “Food Bazar” driving 45 min than going to your shop .nnAbsolutely despising and disgraceful
I like shopping at Masala Bazar. The spice selection is fantastic, and everything is always fresh and aromatic. They carry products I can’t find anywhere else, and the staff is always kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. The store is clean, well organized, and the prices are very reasonable. Definitely my favorite spot.
Update: 14/11/25nSame issue with the meats, what's worse is their beef mix has gone downhill now too. For so long I've bought kilos of beef mix from them, was so good, not too many bones, but now majority of it is bones. I'm so let down.nBegan shopping here early 2025. Meat quality was great, but gone downhill from there. I understand sometimes the batches can be a bit weird from suppliers at times, but since I began buying larger amounts, its almost as if the bad quality, genetically pumped up meats are given, this has happened the last few times. The meat counter service has been excellent, wait times are not bad at all. The till staff are ok, as long as you don't become too friendly with them and the women that work on tills are all lifeless and robotic almost. Buying bits and bobs such as sauces, vegetables, frozen snacks or prawns etc is great. Huge variety and good amenities such as a prayer room, toilets, wudhu facilities and parking is plenty. Basket trollies are available too. Will give it another try but one more bad experience with the meats and I'll stop going there.
