We enjoyed an evening catching up with family who are spread around the country and had 4 double rooms as well as local family joining us for dinner and drinks. The bar and restaurant staff led by Heather Dawson were absolutely brilliant, welcoming and friendly. The food and drinks were top drawer and service was impeccable. The choices of dinner on the menu and specials board were varied covering every taste and the breakfast the following morning was of the best quality. This was not our first visit and certainly will not be our last. Highly recommended.
What an absolute gem of a place Stopped over last week in room 1, and the views of the church and the countryside was just stunning. Heather and Simon were amazing. Couldn't do enough for me. They were attentive, accommodating, friendly, and very welcoming. The rest of the staff couldn't do enough for me. The food was delicious, all cooked to perfection, all homemade and I shall definitely be booking again for the summer. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
A lovely little pub/ restaurant located close to three very busy campsites who, I would imagine, provide the majority of their customers. It has an interesting menu that incorporates a lot of local produce for lunches and evening meals. We had the Sunday lunch set menu and it was excellent with a great pint of real ale. The desserts are worth considering although the set menu had only two choices. The only criticism I have is that this isn't really a drinkers pub because all of the tables are set for meals but that is a minor point really. Go there for the food and you won't be disappointed.
We really enjoyed our Sunday lunch here. Good value from the set menu. Decent portion size and very tasty. Good choice of wines and cask beers. It was very busy, the staff worked very hard. I recommend booking in advance if you’re going for Sunday lunch. We couldn’t fault the place. Note, pub is dog friendly but the village doesn’t have any bins so if your dog “performs” then you have to take it home with you.
the staff are friendly and pleasant. Came on a Friday evening but we was very disappointed the menu was very small My daughter ordered the burger it was pink in the middle and the bun looked toasted but it had been burnt and crumbled when picking it up! I’ve never been here before it was very quiet for a Friday but now we know why! I don’t think we will be back for a while but do hope they improve there cooking skills and it’s a nice pub
Had trip to the Dales recently and ate here twice. Fabulous food, friendly atmosphere, roaring fire and our hostess was lovely. Would highly recommend if you're out this way and want somewhere great to eat.Service: 5/5
Wonderful food whether traditional British or innovative, fantastic, warm and friendly staff, who can’t do enough for you, great atmosphere. The warmest of welcomes for accompanying four-legged family members. Highly recommended!
We haven't been to the pub for over 5yrs and thought we would visit again as we always loved the food. On arrival could see the marton Arms has had a makeover creating a lovely atmosphere. We was shown to our table and given the food menu. We could see that the food wasn't traditional pub food anymore and made our orders. On arrival of the food it was very clear the portion sizes were very small and quite ridiculous for the price you are paying. My partner ordered the beer brine chicken with vegetables, all she got was one small chicken thigh on top of a very small amount of vegetables for £15.95 very disappointing, was more like a starter it was the same for all the meals all costing around £16 each and hardly any food, I wouldnt recommend the food if you want a good meal.
Staff were really friendly and welcoming with our dog. It was clean and lovely bar and restaurant areas and lovely food. The room was comfortable and we really enjoyed our relaxing stay there after walking in the beautiful local areaRooms: 4/5
Always our go to when we are over in Ingleton, never been disappointed. Staff friendly and welcoming, I like that the menu changes with seasonal local produce and the starters are just that little bit different but delicious. Most recent visit had a goat cheese and beetroot ravioli for starter, Wagu fillet steak for mains melt in the mouth and a white chocolate bread and butter pudding for dessert excellent!!!! Can’t wait for next visit.
