Very clean Kids sorted with soft play, pool tables putting green nature trail ect Fire engine display Good choice of food BB parking and carpark Overlooking West bay
Quick service, hot and tasty food, live music, what more could you want? All bar and wait staff friendly and very accommodating. Good choice of food and drink on the menu and kids meals are cheap. Fairly expensive drinks and okay price on the adult mains but not too bad if you skip the puds !
Took our dog as it is dog friendly but dogs not allowed drinking bowls then looked at the menu and horrified at prices £8 for a side order of chips! Obviously not as cheap as chips. Left without eating and saved a fortune. I wondered why nobody was eating in the pub when I went in.
Went here for the first time today. Reserved a table for lunch, parked easily and we were fairly quickly shown to our table. Order wasn't taken so I ordered drinks at the bar only to be told someone would take good order at table. Waited what seemed like 10-15 minutes and then went and ordered at the bar! Good Sunday roast with choice of 3 meats, huge portions and were offered a container for doggy bits. Eventually we were cleared and ordered desserts not in the slightest bit necessary but it was a treat! Pleasant restaurant area with a wood burner, and in addition there is pet friendly tables and a children's play area. Highly recommended but table staff could perhaps be a bit more alert. Loved the fire brigade memorabilia
The carvery was amazing and plenty of food more than we could eat took loads of meat home in a box.Food: 5/5
Camping at Highlands End, and booked a table for our last night. We both had burgers and chips, which were expensive at over £31 for both, but tasted nice. My son had a brownie and ice cream for dessert, which was lovely, and I had a basic ice cream - reasonable prices for those. The bar itself is nicely decked-out, with a fire brigade theme, and has lots of nooks and crannies to sit in. I’ve been here several times before and it’s always been welcoming.
Great Sunday lunch, carvery with turkey, pork, beef, nut-roast, all the trimmings. Large Sunday lunch all three meats and two pints, costs around £25.00. Vegetarian options: Nut roast choice on menu, but also many other veg, Yorkshire, potato options, and all kept separate so unlikely to have cross contamination.
Had a lovely meal locally sourced brilliant choice at the bar of locally sourced drinks. Brilliant entertainment for the children. The decor is clean, modern and quirky themed around the local volunteer fire service veggie was lovely and raspberry pavlova flavoured gin with elderflower tonic was very good value. The staff where very polite and very helpful. We had a very enjoyable evening.
Great bar, dog friendly and lovely carvery. Loved all the old fire engine and accessories.
Great for holiday makers and families. Food tasted nice but basic reduced menu
