Had a very nice and pleasant experience and this guest house. The owner was kind and courteous. We were the only people staying in the guesthouse, so the breakfast was perfect for us. The room was a little small, and there was some issue with the heater so our room was quite chilly. Besides that wifi was good and the room was clean.Rooms: 4/5
We stayed just a few days but were made to feel as it we were home. Sally welcomed us upon arrival and provided us with a comfortable, well appointed room with a great view of the local gardens, lighthouse and coastline. She also prepared beautifully prepared and tasty breakfasts each morning. If you plan a stop in Tynemouth, make it great with a stay at Martineau.
Very friendly and nicely appointed guest house with the most amazing selection for breakfast that I have come across l would highly recommend it. It is a great pity that it is closing down very soon.
Lovely place to stay in Tynemouth. Great location, cosy rooms, fantastic view from the priory view room. Really good breakfast Highly recommend it.
