Nice and fresh sandwiches hot pie and good to finish it with their lovely custer
Really nice products, feels more like a bakery than Greggs. Fresh bread, pies, pasties, cakes etc. Staff are very friendly and helpful. My only gripe is they don't offer the chicken cheese and bacon melts anymore. They were amazing.
This used to be excellent for everything from freshly made salad muffins, pastes, pies, pasta dishes, cakes, bread etc. Was well stocked before covid but upon my visit today it sadly as gone downhill, very little of everything and what I purchased today was poor quality, pies/pasties looked like they'd been warmed up over several daysonly fit for the bin not for selling. Unfortunately won't be calling here again.
Best sandwich shop The rare but delicious cornflake cake,
Visited a few times recently and it's gone down hill over the last year. They no longer make up bespoke fresh sandwiches, this started due to Covid 19 , but I asked today when they were going to do them again and the staff said they probably won't. If you want a bespoke sandwich you can either call at 7.30 in the morning or the day before. Really inconvenient. There are hardly any staff on and they always seem to have low stock or don't have the wide selection they used to have. I used to go there as it was better than Greggs but I can know honestly say that Greggs is now much better. Martins is now too expensive and Greggs has simply caught up on quality and service. Sad when Martin's new business model worsens their offer. Race to the bottom for this place.
Yesterday I purchased flour and eggs from here. I have an issue with the fact that the eggs were from caged hens!. I didn't know it as it was given to me in a bag already packed due to the current virus situation. I am surprised that the bakery has poor ethical standards!. Can you source your products more responsibly?.
This place gets a somewhat bad rep from some of the reviews. If it was in Decorated differently and had chalk boards etc and was in hipsterville east London or south Manchester it could double its prices and still be good value. Potato cakes, pies and sourdough are all very good. The egg custards are always well received too.
Good products, at a moderate price. At lunch time and weekends there can be a bit of a wait. Martins accept credit cards. The staff are friendly. Their potato cakes are top notch
One of the worse Martins around, I use most while working. The service is slow and unwelcoming, they never have everything available and they hardly put anything on their sandwiches. The last two times Iv been Iv qued up to leave empty handed because something isn’t ready or they don’t have it. Never have these problems in Moston or Newton Heath so isit down to the management of the branch ‍ Won’t be going in again
Great quality of products however availability varies wildly. Customer service is erratic as sometimes it's spot on but other times they don't put what you ask for on the sandwiches or repeatedly ask was it you asked for. Frustrating as last week got home and order wasn't what I wanted.
