This is more of a fakery than a bakery. I should know, I used to work here.. (til i quit) Nothing is made here, the bread is bought in and sold as fresh 4-5 days old!! The sausage rolls, pies and pasties are cooked on monday and then reheated every morning for sometimes a week. the Donuts are from Sainsbury's as are all the rolls,scones, hot x buns. The sandwich fillings are toxic. Left uncovered and in same tubs for 3wks or until stuff starts getting hairy. DO NOT buy the fresh cream sponges, or scotch eggs! place has rats, and has rat poison on all the work surfaces.black, sprouting mould all over the place. It is a health hazard. The Owner Pete, is the biggest cowboy I have ever had the displeasure of knowing. Takes great pleasure in ripping his community off. The flat above has been condemned as unlivable because of the vermin. I emplore customers to call enviromental health agency and take pics of any iffy hygiene practices. This place is going to make somebody very ill if it's not careful. It must be nipped in the bud. And it can only happen if people report what they see.

Been coming here for years. Not any more. We got our lunch here today and was EXTREMELY dissapointed with the food. The jam donut I had was clearly yesterday's unsold food. Where they used to be soft and delicious, this was hard and stale... it tasted worse than the ones they sell in supermarkets in bags. Also a macaroon was unusally hard - Yesterday's unsold stock again no doubt. I understand this place has changed hands a few times. I suspect the latest owner does not have the same standards as previous owners. Bakeries are supposed to sell fresh food that tastes nice!

Asked for cheese roll got ham to late once back to the office everything in the shop does not look fresh the previous business had lovely homemade cakes and great prices this place clearly go to Costco won't be going back

Such lovely baked goods and friendly service, and now there is even seating so you can stop and enjoy a coffee and cake or a tasty sandwich. All made fresh on the premises
