This place really packs a punch. For a few pounds you get a treasure trove of history. The building alone, is very rare and beautiful. These places are a vital part of any community, and they need our support. Use it or lose it.
Always passed this place and have never been in. Took the kids for a visit one day. Tbey and me loved it. Lots on local history, including Shoreham airport and the old toll bridge, and filming inthe area. Not over priced and so much in the space.
Great Maritime and Shoreham museum .Free entrance
An amazing museum in a wonderfully preserved building, covering the maritime history of Shoreham-by-Sea and its harbour. An absolute must see. The entry fee is very reasonable and there are child and student discounts. This is probably the best-value museum I’ve visited. The small shop sells all kinds of interesting items as well. The Marlipins Museum really is more than worth the money.

The best 50p I have spent , really engaging things inside
Lovely little museum showing beautifully crafted model sailing and later ships plus other machinery, local Shoreham history, artefacts from excavations of the Norman building. Really worth a visit and supporting this museum.
The volunteer staff were friendly. It is small but we enjoyed looking around the museum when we visited family in Shoreham.
Great little museum, things for kids to do and super friendly and helpful staff.
Very small museum, but excellent nevertheless, entrance fee 50p.
