The 5 stars is for Ben at the bakery. I don't know if he ever has a day off, but he's always there whenever I go. He's helpful & professional, but never pushy. He knows not to bother you unnecessarily, but offers help when he can see that you're looking for something & really goes the extra mile to help. He's so conscientious and a real asset to M&S. They're lucky to have him!
Yesterday I went into the area where the bras are for sale.I couldn’t find my usual one and asked the sales team for it ,to be told that it was no longer available. I was completely at a loss as to which type to choose and Justine offered to help me immediately. She was so good in every way and measured me and guided me through the process and brought several for me to try until I found one in a pack of three which were very reasonably priced and fitted me much better than the ones that I had been buying for years. Without such great help I would have been totally at a loss. Justine is a wonderful, pleasant and kind person and a total credit to your staff in your Carmarthen store. It was a pleasure to meet her and her colleagues. Many thanks.
Return, Recharge & Roast ChickennnPopped into this charming little outfit in Carmarthen called M&S—seems to be a well-run local store with a real eye for quality. My wife needed to return a garment she picked up for our daughter apparently children grow at alarming rates, and the whole process was smoother than a silk blouse on a summer’s day. No fuss, no forms, just polite staff and a smile.nnWhile we were there, we wandered into their delightful food hall—honestly, it’s like a farmer’s market but indoors and with air-con. Picked up some roast chicken, a selection of olives, and various other treats that somehow leapt into our basket. Even the olives felt posh.nnOnly gripe? The council stung us for £1.80 to park for two hours—even though we were in and out in 15 minutes. Not M&S’s fault, of course, but still, if the council could dial it down a notch, that’d be lovely.nnAll in all, a very civilised outing. Would return—even if just for the chicken.
A nice little marks and Spencer's where the staff are friendly helpful and become regular faces we see. The only downside is that we think Carmarthen needs a bigger marks as the food hall is cramped compared to say Trostre as the nearest example.the only reason a star is deducted.
M&S is always an enjoyable shopping experience with new lines, bright airy store & helpfully informative staff. Food Hall is always worth a visit, as their food is exceptional as is their fresh flowers.
