Tucked away down a narrow road but well signposted. Free parking and access to the cafe, shop and plant sales. Paying access to the rest of the estate. Lots of paths and a helpful map given on entry. Lots of trees and plants to be amazed by. Ducks and geese make the various ponds their home. Great family day out but beware of the water if your kids are small.

Beautiful place with lots of places to walk and enjoy nature. Nice gardens and a pond where you can feed the fish . Admission prices are reasonable too. A gem of a countryside in Essex.

An enjoyable day walking through the trees. Winter coloured stems by the lake were breathtaking. Finished off with a nice bowl of hot soup in the cafe.

Beautiful arboretum with lakes, walks, gardens and fish. Fantastic cafe and helpful staff. In summer you can spend hours walking through the woods and gardens. Last year they had the most amazing sculptures, so really hope they return for 2018. During winter you need a good pair of boots and a big coat to make the most of their woods and tracks. It's a stunning site all year round. The lovely old barn cafe is always good with fresh home made food and good drinks. The big woodburner is always alight so it's a cosy refuge in the less perfect weather. We're very lucky to have Marks Hall So near by.

Peaceful. Kids love it, lots of open space to run, great little playground partway round and great arboretum. Cafe is nice as well.
