A very gloomy and cold store. The lighting always seems to be on dim, probably to save money. This is false economy as we don't want to stay and look at anything any more. Apart from using the food hall, I now use it as a cut through to Primark, a bright a cheery shop, beautifully laid out with happy staff! M&S has no long sleeved ladies t-shirts and the short sleeved are thin and nothing like the old 'Regular' t-shirt. Many staff are glum and defensive and don't look as if they enjoy work poor things. What on earth is happening to M&S? They've never listened to customers so no doubt this will also fall on deaf ears. Salisbury has the ideal demographic for M&S customers with money to spare but we don't want to visit this depressing store. They will only have themselves to blame for their demise.
M&S is in class of its own. Great product, top quality and at reasonable prices. Clothing, Food, Cafe and BDC all in the same building.nnSuper tidy store with professional staff.
The accessible toilet is a joke!!nThe toilet is well below the Building Regulation minimum size requirements. There is only 900mm of space in front of the toilet, which is set a considerable distance from the rear wall A rear rail behind the loo holds a substantial back cushion, thereby considerably reducing the usable space. The toilet is too narrow, restricting access in a wheelchair. A typical wheelchair is about 1100mm long and a mobility scooter is probably longer so this is impossible to get in front of the toilet itself and shut the door. The toilet is centrally positioned and if you wedged the wheelchair on that side it’s supposed to provide for that you couldn’t use the drop down bar. The left hand side is restricted by the wash hand basin and a large floor bin. It is iust possible to wedge in the wheelchair on the left and lock the door but it s very very difficult to get out of the chair - whether you want to transfer to the toilet or stand up against the toilet. There is certainly no room to turn around in the chair to leave the toilet, thereby requiring an awkward manoeuvre to unlock the door and reverse out. There is even a baby change unit on the wall - this doesn’t really affect the very limited space, but there is separate baby change unit in the corridor! There are many reviews going back years, criticising the toilets as a whole, but the basic small size of the disabled loo is a joke!nWholly unsatisfactory in a national facility like M&S!! Come on M&S - this is just not good enough!!!!
The DP loo is not fit for purpose. The pan is too low and rails too high. Back test wrong position. No hand cleanser dispenser - instead a squeeze bottle you have to pick up - very unhygienic. Broken mirror in door.
Cannot speak highly enough of the experience I received from the warm, friendly, polite and professional customer service team at Salisbury M&S. My story is too long to explain, suffice to say, the ladies at M&S Salisbury sorted out my problem without making me feel a nuisance. They were understanding, solved the problem I had and I'm now the very happy owner of two little 1.5ft pre-lit Christmas trees which are gorgeous and very good value for money. Thank you and keep doing what you're doing
