I have a terrible phobia of dentists and have since I was a child. Therefore my teeth got neglected over the years. I had to go to the emergency dentist a couple of years ago and was referred to this dentist by them for the treatment.nWithin a year I was taken on as an NHS patient.nThe dentist I saw here was brilliant, put me at my ease and carried out my treatment. He referred me to the hygienist. Again with much fear I went today for my appointment. I can safely say she was amazing. I felt like she genuinely cared, she talked to me about everything she was doing.nThe ladies on the front desk are very very helpful and friendly and again seem to go out of their way to help.nWhilst I still don’t like going to the dentist, the people in this practice have made it a better experience. Thank you to you all .
Referred here from my own private dentist for wisdom teeth issues. Quite glad not to be receiving treatment from them again.nPrior to appointment was good, reception staff are a credit, clinical staff nurses and dentist weren’t interested in why I was there and comments such as ‘well you know better’ from the dentist is uncalled for, let alone the fact he walked into the practice 20 minutes late which made him 10 minutes late for my appointment time. Dental nurse was preparing for another appointment during my appointment and I was unaware that perfume was allowed to be sprayed within clinical areas with procedures/consultations ongoing in the same room. The CQC and NHS England would find that rather interesting I imagine.
Very impressed with this practice. I was referred by my usual dentist for two extractions, they could not do them not absolutely sure why the appointment was made within days of referral, the staff that I spoke to on the phone during this procedure were very polite and professional. I admit to being somewhat anxious on the days leading up to the appointment as I have never had an extraction before but reading the good Google reviews by previous patients really helped to calm me a little. Dr Ali was absolutely brilliant as was his nurse, I didn't feel any pain and not even any discomfort to be honest. It was all over in 10 minutes, I can not believe how quick and painless the whole thing was. I am now typing this five days later and having followed Dr Ali's after care regime I have had no issues regarding the recovery. I cannot recommend this practice highly enough....thank you Dr Ali
I got removed from this dentist after missing 2 appointments in a row, one of which was a hygiene appointment that I had paid a deposit for anyway. I did not intentionally miss the appointments, it was an accident. I rang up to apologise and explain and was told to drop an email requesting to be re-added. They never responded to the email. I rang again to ask and they said yes we have received your email, I will get the manager to review tomorrow, and again they never responded.nnThe actual care they provide is also atrocious - you arrive on time for your appointment and they have no issues leaving you waiting for 45 minutes at times. They also just take a quick glance, shove a sharp square card behind your teeth for an x-ray and that's the extent of it. Previous dentists I've been to in Ramsbottom Adam Nulty before he opened his own place were very good - he would give your teeth a bit of a scale and polish - you didn't need to specifically request this or book a longer appointment. It seems Market Place Dental Practice just want to make as much money as possible as quickly as possible.
I was referred here from my dentist in case I needed oral surgery, my tooth extraction was plain sailing and so quick, in fact I didn't even realise it was out! no pain whatsoever would highly recommend this practise.
