Beautiful park. Went for a little picnic to get some fresh air. Was cold but at least it was dry. Freshly cut grass. Plenty of seating areas. Parking meters only take cash but you can download an app and pay via that. Ice cream van on site. Gift shop. Saw my first wild rat who has made a home near the waters edge. Was beautiful. Loads of ducks, geese, swans and moor hens. Fantastic walk. We only left as we were freezing. Didn't walk round it all. Playground: Massive play area for the kids Restrooms: Toilets in the central courtyard Dog-friendliness: Pawfect to take doggy's on a walk. Picnic area: Loads of benches and picnic tables. A lot of open grassed spaces for picnic blankets too.
There is much to do here. Lots of activities to choose from including canoe rides, tennis, basketball, bouncing castles, kids climbing, crafting and sp much more! The park itself is beautiful and quite big with various levels of terrain. There's good wheelchair and toilet access which makes this place a firm favourite of mine.
Such a great park with so many activities. The Mindy Center within Markeaton Park is great, there are ride on cars, paddling pool, bouncy castle, mini golf and canoes. There is a playground, climbing frame, slides and a small skate park. The high ropes course is back open again after being taken over by a new operator. Lovely walks with smooth paths suitable for all, it's clean and tidy and generally a lovely park. Would recommend to all
Kids enjoyed Tree House Trek Staff was lovely very helpful its a big park will come next time to explore more Little water fall, craft village and many more Plenty green space to play and for family picnic
Great place plenty of parking. Went to see Sir Tom Jones. Great it was under cover, and made it a better atmosphere Tom I'd a legend and no effort needed with his voice, even at his age. Would definitely recommend going to a gig again here and look forward to see who is playing here next year.
Plenty of parking in disabled area.very busy lots of stuff to do..but if you had a number of children it would be very expensive..£10 for 3 ice-cream £7 for1 adult and 1 child crazy golf £3 bouncy castle £5 for hook a duck and £5for bouncy slide so we spent £30 in 2hours with 1 grandchild..
This is a lovely place to spend a day out with the family just don't forget your suncream on a hot day! There is a little courtyard with a cafe, craft and a couple of ittle shops with seating area or just sit on the wall. Toilets are also in this area. Plenty of parks to walk around for all ages but these can be quite busy as expected, big inflatable slide, go karts for the smaller children, 2x crazy golf kinda style pitches, canoeing and more, more toilets in this area too. There is a big paddling pool area but it was under construction at the time I visited. Dogs are allowed here and off leads with plenty of area for them to run around. Lovely scenery. The parking is not bad if you get there early but can be a bit of a nightmare to get out of it you leave around the same time as others. Overall a nice day out for the family.
Great park in Derby with lots of space for picnics and ball games. Mundy play area is good all ages my 2 x 10 year old grandsons had a great time there. They also went to the Tree House Trek which I booked online a bit expensive at £22 each but very safe and well organised. The rowing boats/pedalos were closed but there is a small pool with children’s kayaks, a bouncy castle area, mini golf and foot golf all chargeable. There is also a tea room and small courtyard selling crafts. We got ice creams from the ice cream van parked near the tea room. Large car park, I found pay machine very difficult to use as you have to download an app on your phone, there seemed to be a cash option also, but it’s quite expensive £4.40 for 4 hours £5.60 for more than 5. You can pay for less time. The toilets aren’t signposted but we found some by the kayaks. My personal opinion is it’s a great place to go when the weather is good but if you want to treat the kids not a cheap option, with special offers I spent less taking my grandsons to Drayton Manor. Having said that we would definitely go again and try the foot golf next time.
Lots of trails for walking/running. Greenery everywhere, some trees are very very old. Orangery cafe was closed as well as majority of facilities mid week. Recommended
Beautiful and bigger than I thought. A fair bit of activities there like zip lining and rowing. Great place for enjoying nature and picnics. Restrooms: There are rest rooms by a cafe. They are okay.
