A lovely Thai place in the heart of London that's super affordable! We came on a Friday for lunch and luckily it was fairly empty with lots of tables and seats. We ordered a pad Thai with prawns and a chicken red curry as a set menu with chicken satay for starter. It's run by Thai people and it's so lovely seeing those aunties cooking in the kitchen wearing those clothes people wear in Thailand which instantly made it very warm for me having been to Thailand recently. The food was great, good portions and very affordable for Waterloo prices. The satay was top-notch, savoury and sweet at the same time that went really well with the rich peanut sauce. The red curry was well-cooked, thick and creamy with a very small kick. The pad Thai was more on the sweet side I kind of wish they had added more fish sauce as the tamarind sauce overpowered a little. The grand total came to £24 for 2 people which was just so rare to see these days in London. Staff were friendly and nice and I loved how homely the place felt with the old-school chairs and tables and open kitchen where you can see them cook.
Delicious Thai fare at great prices. Quick service. Great starters, mains and dessert. Place was a bit crowded to sit comfortably and talk, but given the amazing prices for London this can be overseen.Food: 5/5
Really enjoyed this spot for a low key, easy dinner. Great prices for central London too! The food was great and BYO is a huge positive. It's a small space and you do get the sense they want you to order, eat and leave relatively quickly but not enough to ruin the experience. Vegetarian options: Most if not all mains with vegetable/tofu option
Definitely one of the best thai places I have ever been to. Feels very authentic as run by all thais. We ordered red thai curry, green thai curry , prawn toast and satay chicken. Every single dish was delish however our absolute fav were green thai curry and prawn toast . Their portion size for set menu was slightly small but I guess that’s okay given the price as they are very reasonably priced. Brilliant and fast service too. I highly recommend this place if you are in the area.
The food was delicious, and the service was very fast. Due to my low blood sugar, I was feeling dizzy and urgently needed food to replenish my energy. This restaurant quickly prepared the meal, which was not only delicious but also full of energy, saving me. The staff was very friendly, and the taste was authentically Thai.Food: 5/5
Was told about the place by my sister in-law and it was a great recommendation. When I saw that there was a bit of a queue waiting to get a table I thought that it could be good and was not disappointed. Loved the food and would recommend the crying tiger. Service quick and staff friendly.
Was recommended by a family member to check this place out when I next go to London Waterloo Station. Place was actually quite nice. 2 minute walk from Waterloo Station easy to find lovely food and the food services was quick.
I saw this place in social media so decided to give it a try. The food was good but I think it is overpriced as the serving is half than what you get in other restaurants. In fact Roti King nearby has cheaper and better noodles and 50 percent more . So I was really disappointed with this. The lunch deal is also a ripped off. I got literally 3 pieces of shrimps in the curry. Place is small and crowded.
I've visited this little restaurant a few times. Often there's a queue of people waiting for a cheap, yet lovely meal. They're always busy but are also friendly. The portions aren't large but the meals are generally 50% cheaper than anywhere else. The atmosphere is nice and it feels like an expat cafe in downtown Bangkok. I recommend this place though parking only available on the other side of the nearby main road, past The Old Vic.
The food’s really worth trying. We had a Mix Starter Delight, Panang Chicken Curry and Chow mien prawn noodles. The quantity is good enough for two people to share depends on the number of dishes you orderand the food is really really tasty. You can adjust your spice levels while ordering. Overall, our experience was great. The food’s tasty, service was quick and the price point is very affordable.
