Marco's New York Italian

This is a dreadful restaurant. I paid £16.50 for the grilled prawns as a starter. There were 5 of them. The sauce can only be described as strange. Taste a bit like lemon washing up liquid. The main course was grilled sword fish. No seasoning or sauce what so ever. If you buy some cheap fish fingers and strip off the bread crumbs, they would taste better. I ordered asparagus as a side dish. They were acceptable, but was £2.95 for six. Service was slow. Half an hour between starter and main. I am only an average cook. If I cook something like this, I would tell myself not to cook these dishes again. Marco Pierre White, you should be ashamed of yourself!

Had a buffet breakfast and it was really nice. Not mind blowing, just nice. Mo, our waiter was really friendly and kept the coffee flowing.

Absolutely shocking food and service. I’m absolutely gob smacked that Marco Pierre White is prepared to put his name to this place.

Booked for Christmas lunch. Absolutely appalling service. Food was lovely when it eventually arrived. Spilled a whole tray of drinks over myself and then added them to my bill along with drinks which we didn't order! Forgot my toddlers dinner so he cried throughout our meal and I had to feed him from my plate. It's taken a week for a generic apology email and no offer of refund or to pay for my dry cleaning. Incompetent manager and rude staff. Ruined our Christmas Day and every other table in the restaurant had the same treatment as us. Ridiculous! steer clear!

Great place to eat with the family vegetarian options are good.

I spent countless evenings here late last year. The menu is varied enough but you don't feel like you're having the same thing over. The staff are charming and attentive and the food was cooked to perfection every time. I totally recommend if you're staying at the hotel or simply in the area for events at the nearby NEC.

Food was incredible. Cooked to perfection. Portions were larger than expected too. Had to skip desserts as too full to eat them! Fantastic evening the staff were very accomodating and the ambience was perfect for a Marco Pierre restaurant. Couldn't fault the experience.

Worst food I have EVER had, the "steak baguette" was a baguette filled with fat and gristle and the portion of that was terrible. The sandwich had came totally lathered with garnish and sauces not as advertised in the menu, 1 of which I was allergic. The staff were polite, but again service the worst I have ever received, both meals came separately and as the second was put on the table - the waiter proceeded to return to the bar and serve somebody a drink while we waited for cutlery with our food going stone cold. AVOID!!!! Go to bed hungry instead, you will save some money and time!!

The food we had was great! I had the Bombay Aloo and Veggie Masala with a Garlic Naan. My partner ate Tikka Masala and Chicken Curry. All of these were done perfectly! If the meals were authentically Indian, I cannot tell, but nonetheless, they were delicious! The staff was really nice and polite and looked after us very well. You could feel that they cared. The atmosphere was also very nice and the place itself well decorated. We really felt at home and would come back anytime if we could :
