The place is great - great decor, vibe. Maitre D was cool. Presentation was fantastic - the desserts were delicious we had the cheesecake, tiramisu & brownie combo. My only complaint.....I ordered my ribeye steak medium-rare and it was on that well side of medium! -1 star for the infraction Sorry!
Great cocktails. Food was tasty. Dessert was not the best cheesecake was grainy otherwise would have given 4*. Wait service was good maybe a little slow. Decor and atmosphere good. Will go back again.
Great addition to the hotel. Lovely restaurant atmosphere not stuffy very relaxed and easy going. We are with our 2 sons for their birthday and children were well catered for and we were not pushed to the back of the restaurant as can be the case with many. Lovely food all hot and fresh and children's portions are large. I'd definitely eat here again.
We ordered an iceberg wedge salad with no dressing and got the pictured. The rest of the food was profoundly ok, until you realised how much it was costing. Add in the photos of M P-W staring at you like Patrick Bateman, and you have got an extremely mediocre dining experience.
Great for Ibis Styles comp breakfast. Cereals, pastries, fruit, cold meats etc. Can get a bit hectic waiting for mugs etc. but generally well staffed and replenished.
Nothing better than mediocre. We ordered two burgers and two cocktails. The drinks eventually came when we were already half way through the meal. One of the burgers was very rare, and the other very well done we weren't asked how we want our burger cooked, and I think this is quite poor service the sweet potato fries were slightly underdone and were far too salty. The cocktails were very disappointing and weren't mixed together well at all. The service charge was included, which was very cheeky considering the service was so poor. Will not ever be visiting again. I believe that Marco Pierre White would be ashamed that his name is affiliated with this restaurant
Visited the restaurant last night with my partner for out 1st anniversary, had high expectations. Unfortunately was very disappointed! The menu was very poor with not a lot of choice, really struggled to find something to order! Starter was dry burnt chicken! Mains were very basic, no atmosphere, overheard other diner's complaining about their food, I've had better food at cheap and cheerful Italians! Only good thing was the service, friendly polite staff. Would never go back, overpriced basic food, could cook better myself.
Awful Service. Had a voucher which was supposed to give you 2 courses for 4 people from a set menu but the choices on the set menu were only okay if you liked seafood we don't or wanted mushrooms for both courses we didn't. No option to change but they redeemed the voucher and then charged us full cost of the meal! Demanded the voucher be cancelled so could get a refund. Still waiting for them to sort it out 4 days later. And then they had the cheek to add a service charge I told them to take it off. Food was okay when it came, but not a patch on the Marco's New York Italian we went to in Derby in August which was fantastic. I had high hopes for this but seems they just want to cash in on the name without the service or quality that should go with it.
Just ok! Wanted to give this an excellent review but couldn't. Waited almost an hour for starters o f soup, it came and didn't have a great deal of taste , needed plenty of seasoning !!!! Waited almost 3/4 of an hour for mains of a pizza and burger. The pizza was good but the burger was very dry !!! The deserts came quite quickly and were very average . To sum up , all smoke and mirrors , a group of 4 people came in after we had been sat there for over an hour and because they ordered from the A la carte menu they were served immediately , and were served their maids whilst we were still waiting for ours . Don't bother with the book a table taster menu as you could be some time!!!!
Good pizza but disappointing service. We had the lunchtime menu, which says you're in and out in 45 minutes or the food is free. We had to ask for the bill at 55 minutes but were charged in full. I didn't have time to argue the toss, as I would have been late back to work so paid in full the whole point of going somewhere with a guaranteed. They also add a 10% service charge to the bill, which I find a bit cheeky but again, didn't have time to argue about. They forgot our chips, and when they eventually came out they tasted powdery and dry. The staff were all very friendly but it was a somewhat disappointing experience.
