Clean pleasant bus station. The electronic displays were easy to read and find the bus number I needed. Toilets were clean and presentable and were also free during my visit although I would of paid 20p. Pleasant atmosphere even down to local radio station playing in station.
This bus station operates primarily Stagecoach. And to tell you that this is the most unreliable bus company would be an understatement. I have been disappointed by their delays, cancellations and general lack of communication if something goes wrong fyi something goes wrong everyday in that company.
Good building with a joining walkway to the trains. Staff can be pleasant but do not have enough communication between different bus contractors regarding cancellations. They do know the routes to take. The toilets are often open with no fee, be prepared for this to change as it is intermittent. Very poor on repairing damage to the building. Cleaner than a lot of bus stations I have been to. Taxi rank is close but not visible ask staff for directions. Large car park next to the station and an easy pick up and drop off area. Close to superbowl and town centre.
Waited for an hour just to catch the bus home. The bus keeps getting cancelled. Would not recommend. Avoid at all costs.
This bus station connected to the train station is awesome! This is a state of the art bus station, with an active manned front desk reception. The building is compliant with commercial building regulations for wheelchair users with sufficient staff around to assist anyone in need. Inside the building is quiet warm to keep out the cold and bad elements whilst waiting for your bus. There is a free in-house Wi-Fi connectivity, a cafe and a newsagents within the building on the ground floor. The toilet facilities are chargeable - and payment is via coin paying gate system which releases the gate after payment has been released. There is a lift in this building which after crossing the bridge link from the train station can take any person to the ground floor. There is also disabled access or wheelchair users access into the station without hinderince. This station has electronic led display board at every section for every stop section within the building. My experience here was pleasant and the front desk staff were on top of their game - they know their business.
Disgusting have to travel through plume of smoke to get to bus staff and public always outside doors smoking something or other and buses very often late or just don't turn up Worst bus station I have been in
It's got a roof on it which is fine when it's raining & cold. There is also a help desk. Staff customer service skills are very good. There is a small shop for essentials. Nevertheless a waste of money. This project was politically driven by Mansfield district council & Nottinghamshire county council back in 2009
Getting beyond tired of arriving in time to catch my adjoining bus only to find they've unexpectedly changed bays or someone is parked in the wrong bay and by the time I can track down my bus it's just pulling off. No communication if a bus has had to go elsewhere and there's space for unused buses to park so really baffled why this keeps happening. Guess I'm going to sit and wait half an hour for the next bus since the services were cut in half and more fool me I have a megarider!
Do something about your public toilets, twice on separate occasions I've placed 20p in the slot and nothing opens for me to enter the male toilet.. And you tell the "excellent" staff who just question whether or not you've put 20p in at all!! One star is one too much.
Terrible bus service. Number 11 to meden vale bus never runs any more. They are constantly cancelling the busses!!! Stagecoach get your act together!
