We’ve been a huge fan and regular customer for several years… spending at least £50 a week here. New management or owners took over recently they told us… disaster! Crispy Chilli beef - no separate sauce… hard, soggy, dry and tasteless Duck in Plum - hard, chewy and gristly Chow mein - weird flavour and texture Singapore noodles - better than the rest but that’s the best I can say Pork balls - same And scary thing… morning leftovers - went cakey and coated and greasy - like they were more than a week old. Inedible. Spat it out and binned it. Gave them another go because everybody can make a mistake… SAME result. To top it off… they forgot one of our dishes. They did deliver it about 30 minutes later but not even an apology Well the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result so safe to say won’t be ordering again. Gutted. Hope mandarin house you read this and make changes accordingly. We were loyal and regulars… Shame
Friendly staff fast delivery. The food was excellent and plentiful it's the first time we used Mandarin house but definitely not the last.
We searched for a menu, didn't find one. We called and requested a dish with prawn, reply was blunt, "I can't decide what you want to eat" I said, but you have a menu in front of you, you can help us, she said no you have to tell me... We have ordered from the Beijing, much better website for ordering online and better customer service. We will not return to the Mandarin,,, looking at the rating others feel the same. How to improve: get rid of the unhelpful lady who answers your phone, deterring business and future customers away.

We ordered over the phone. Saturday night Food okay and staff rude and not very customer Freindly shame spoiled the experience of first time customers sorry back the Beijing form now on .
This is our normal take away now. After trying over the course of 7 years to find one that compares to where we used to live this surpasses that. We had an issue on Christmas eve with delivery time however we were fully refunded with no questions asked and the lady sally was extremely professional and polite and went above and beyond contacting just eat herself to ensure the issue was resolved as soon as possible the refund was back in my account on the 27th We will be using them again for sure as the food is always fantastic. Not super greasy or overly sweet and actually a range of flavours from dish to dish. And is the only Chinese tried about 5 in the area that don't leave us gasping for a drink. They are slightly more pricey than others however it is more than justifiable. Look forward to our next order. Thanks Sally.
Love the Mandarin, always good food. They are also versatile! I often ask for little items to be added to dishes, they oblige and I'm happy!! The delivery is always quick and served with a smile
Always a nice chienese, food always comes well made and hot and delivery is normally pretty fast only reason I give 4 stars is because there are alot of chinese take aways in town and I prefer a few others...just a personal preference though
I can recommend this takeaway. Their food is always delicious, delivery is prompt and always with a smile. The small delivery charge is worth the extra on your meal, mainly because of the better than others locally. Enjoy
