Came here for drinks only so had limited experience here. The venue was too quiet and lacking atmosphere which is a shame because it looked like a nice place to chill out in. There are TVs around showing sports and a large dining/bar area. Staff were friendly and nice. Place was clean and cosy. Unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be any access for wheelchair users as you'll need to go down a short flight of stairs. Other than that I would like to come back to try out their food menu as it looked good.
It was our first time here for a birthday meal and it was rather a let down, firstly things missing off the menu like the entire pizza section leaving one member with nothing to eat. The meat wasn't as tender as we expected and the macaroni balls were awful, I personally thought my meal was rather bland. The birthday boy ordered the "challenger" which he refused to finish because bits of it were too dry and the whole point of a challenger is some form of recognition for doing it hence the hefty price tag but no, nothing here and it certainly isn't worth £25! The decor is lovely and the staff were pleasant but we wouldn't come back again
All the gear but no idea. I love a good American style bbq joint and was excited for this new place. 50% off in August, but I didn't expect half the service too. Drinks took about 15minutes to arrive and then food came an hour later. We asked for water 3 different times and only after our food was finished did it arrive. The banana beer is nice, definitely worth trying. But the food wasn't amazing or anything to brag about. The overall service was just slow and half hearted and it was only half full. I think given its only just opened they're still finding their feet but it'd take a lot of convincing for me to go back.
Excellent. The current lunchtime deal of any burger/fries and a drink for £9.50 is ludicrous value. I’ve tried the brisket and burnt ends too, very good! Great place as well, nice surroundings and ambience. Recommended!
Good ambience. Social distancing in place September 2020. Good taste and great service. My friend and I ordered the 30£ meal for two and it was fit for three people. We couldn't finish it. Had to take it home.
We went here for a works do and on a very busy night in Manchester so the place was extremely busy. The menu is good with plenty of choice and the food arrived hot and visually appetizing. My Chicken burger came with chicken gravy which I would have swore was more of a peppercorn sauce though. the noise was extreme at times but as I said before it was very busy indeed. I would like to go back when it wasn't as rammed as the food was lovely and there were many other appealing items on their menu to try.
Didn't go out for food but just drinks. Which were little pricey but it is a centre Manchester location. Staff are friendly and service was good. They have sky sports on for football which is a bonus unless you don't like that.. toilets are clean and a bit fancy.
A shambolic, baffling and poor quality experience. We visited on a busy Saturday evening. Our drink order was taken quickly, but things went downhill from there. We waited 20 minutes for someone to take our food order - we resorted to waving down a server. It was clear the staff were very busy. Two of us had ordered brisket & burnt ends, but when the food arrived we noticed there were no burnt ends on the plates. It turns out they had run out of burnt ends, but rather than telling us and offering a replacement, they just tried to blag it. We were offered another side as a replacement, but we felt this wasn't an equal value replacement, so we asked for a half rack of ribs. This was refused - they just brought more brisket. The problem was that the brisket was as tough as old boots. I struggled to cut through it and it gave my jaw a real workout. It was like tough frying steak. The meal also came with texas toast, which was missing the toppings, so it was just thick dry toast. The fries were very dry and dull. It was one of the worst meals I've ever eaten. I regret not sending it back, but I don't like to make too much of a fuss, and frankly I was famished enough to eat this rubbish. My friends said their burgers were very dry and overcooked. Another friend did enjoy her steak though. This was one of my worst restaurant experiences - the bad food, the appalling service and having the cheek to serve half a meal and then argue when we point this out. We eventually managed to get one of the brisket meals refunded, but even this was a challenge. Truly appalling guys - also, you need to clean the greasy floor near the pass/toilets. My wife slipped and sprained her ankle.
Food is absolutely amazing! The atmosphere and decor is spot on as well. Staff are fantastic too. Only thing that let's it down is the dessert menu, if they got that up to scratch it would be 100% perfect.
Well...where do I start? Let's talk about the venue and the atmosphere. The place looks great, but a bit too loud music volume unnecessarily high. Another thing to improve are the toilets. Definitely not enough for a restaurant this size. Staff and service. Not as bad as in other reviews. Actually we had experienced the oposite in the sense that it seemed as if they wanted to get rid of us as soon as possible and the place wasn't full, so I guess there was no need and we were a group of 7. Besides that, they served everything quite in a timely manner. The food. Well...we went for the Big Smoke. It is more than enough for two. The quality...well...some things were very nice, like the ribs and the pulled pork. The chicken though was not well cooked. Looking at the menu, I have to admit that it is still a good value for the money. Not expensive at all. So...all in all, not a bad place but with room for improvement.
