We should all be so fortunate to eat meals like I did here everyday. Whether it was in the afternoon, under the sun-shaded bamboo stalks, or in the evening, as the moon rises above the bay. The food is fantastic and the atmosphere is stunning
The Blue Chip of Italian cuisine on Sifnos island.Would love to see some of its classic dishes that have been removed from the menu back but this request is only for us that have been eating there since 1988.
The place is quite cute and service is impeccable. Food quality was good but not proportionate to the dish. I ordered the shrimps linguine and had to scan for the tiny 4/5pieces of shrimps. I had that with 2 glasses of wine.
Impeccable customer service. Dimitris has been absolutely fantastic at explaining the menu, helping us to choose the main dishes and suggesting the right ingredients for the dishes. Highly recommend it if you are looking for an Italian restaurant!
Underwhelming for the price in terms of the pasta dishes but had a lovely risotto. A decent choice if you have kids and want a break from the greek tavernas or not in the mood for fancier food in platys gialos, but nothing special.
Amazing Italian tastes. We tried almost all the pasta dishes and were all perfect. We even came to dine twice in 3 days.
Considering the quality of other restaurants on the beach, this was a real let-down. The caprese was with pesto instead of real basil, the bolognese and the sorrentina were eatable but far away from special. The personnel is overwhelmed, forgot our wine order until after the starter and we got our parmigiano by the time we finished our food. Sorry but these are staples and not hard to get right.
The pizza Mama mia - eponym of the restaurant - was excellent with a crusty fluffy border and savoury filling.
One of the best pizzas in the island! The menu is recently updated and I must say it remains tasty! Also, there used to be a large selection of wines, pasta, pizzas and appetizers which now, has been reduced to more generic dishes. The quality remains but the menu seems to lack a bit.
I really like greek food but if you stay long time in greece it is nice to eat something else. And then the italian food at Mamma Mia is perfect!
