A welcoming hotel with friendly customer-focused staff working in reception, housekeeping and food services. Well-designed rooms. Everything worked! Tasteful contemporary decor. Good breakfast choices - food sourced locally and I particularly liked the healthy options. Absolutely nothing to fault. I travel weekly throughout the UK and you will be surprised how many hotels fail to reach the Maldron standards.
During our two-day and one-night trip to Newcastle, my husband and I had pre-booked this hotel. However, the receptionist at check-in was not very friendly and seemed impatient. Once we received the room key card, everything was fine. The room itself was new, clean, and had a pleasant scent, creating a relaxing atmosphere. The bed was incredibly comfortable. However, we noticed that the ventilation fan was dirty, and some of the accessories couldn't be properly installed.nnTo summarize, the room was very good overall, with no major issues. The only thing worth noting is that toothbrushes and toothpaste were not provided in the room. Guests staying here should remember to bring their own.
The location is very great and close to all places. The cleanliness of the place is also very good. The staff are very polite, respectful and help you. but Unfortunately, there is a problem with the Internet inside room 242 and I have to go to the lobby or outside the hotel in order to use the Internet or call my family or friends.
Just had a lovely first stay at Maldron Newcastle. An amazing hotel, friendly staff, nothing is too much bother , particularly Suzanne on reception.The room was perfection, everything you could need. The most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. Absolutely no noise. And to top it all we were served room service by a Robot. I will definitely be booking again very soon. Oh and the breakfast is perfection.
Very good hotel with central location. Staff great, room was very clean and hotel had a pleasant atmosphere. The robot was cool! Only negatives were slightly snotty fried eggs and was also was a bit strange how there were only 2 bottles of water, 2 tea bags when room was a triple. Overall really good hotel though!
