An interesting free museum, covering the history of Maidstone, Kent regiments, wider history and some odd collection of items. Worthy of viewing while in the town, no pre booking required.
OMG I was shocked ! Very well presented all clean and a lovely. The staff where friendly. Lovely Art work to look at and other artefacts. Cafe was great not too pricey. The museum is free admission. A great day out for adults and children.
Much has changed since my last visit some years ago. A new entrance/reception information desk with a shop and modern toilet facilities. A lift between the floors. The exhibits include themed areas and the art gallery.
Lovely little museum right in the middle of Maidstone. This museum has lots of local history as well as worldly history. The rooms I most enjoyed the Greek, Egyptian, dino, and british wildlife rooms. Very informative and kids friendly. Free to enter, but donations are encouraged and well deserved!
Love it here, and the Kids love it. Theres dinosaurs and animals to see. There is also a dress up part and pictures for the children to colour. They usually do egg hunts or classes for children to do around museum
Wasn't expecting such a good little museum. Loads to see. Very interesting part about Mr Brenchley who had such an exciting life he deserves a film. We spent a happy wet morning here.
