Would of rated it 0 My partner and I have been going here for years and were regulars. Our fish kept breeding so we asked if they would accept them if we brought them in. We were told that they could offer us store credit in exchange and encouraged us to set up a whole new aquarium specifically to breed fish in (by two separate employees on separate occasions). Believing we could potentially make a little contribution to the up-keep of our other tank, we took their advice and bought a whole new aquarium, worth over £100. Later that year we took the fish in that we had bred. We were told rudely by the manager that they would not give us any credit and that nobody had told us that they would (which obviously they had!). There was no apology for the confusion, it was simply a case of "your wrong". We even stated that we bought a whole new fish tank (as they had advised) to which she just shrugged her shoulders! We were moving house at the time and asked if they would take them anyway, credit or no. We explained we were moving but they refused to even take them in. We had to drive over an hour to another aquarium that would. This was not the only time we had bad service. Previously we were encouraged to buy two (expensive) types of fish as they were 'compatible' with our current aquarium. It turned out they weren't and ended up killing over half of our 20 chichlids. Again, there was no apology. Really disappointing as we had been going here for years and had spent a lot of money at the store. The manager was exceptionally rude and didn't deal with the situation in a professional manner whatsoever. They very much conned us out of a LOT of money. We have never been back since and have no intention to again.

Knowledgeable staff. Never had a problem with diseases from fish as they have good water husbandry. Lots of interesting fish and on occasions different fish so it's worth popping in at different times for something different.

Excellent shop, knowledgeable staff, good healthy stock. Would be 5 star if they still did marine.

Absolutely first class service and staff could not be more helpful and giving top quality advice popped in today to add to my Malawi collection and as usual the selection was awesome also purchased a new lighting system again the knowledge and advice was spot on thank you.
