Food ok service so so and drinks I had a cocacola and was flat.
My local area. Very friendly, look after you very well. Been there lots. Food is good, however if you like it spicy, or hot let the chef know, he will make it too your taste. Not an expert on Indian food, so l am still learning. Don't find it overly expensive. Always a nice family night out.
Brilliant vegetarian food. Beautifully presented, however, service could have been better. We would have liked tablecloths & napkins....We would highly recommend this restaurant - for the most important thing , the food! It was the freshest Indian ingredients we had ever had whilst eating out.
Cold reception when we walked in without a reservation @8.00 pm. Slow service as we waited to order and get drinks. When we did order, we were being told to order some of the food in advance as they were very busy, restaurant was half empty at this point, and would have to wait about 10 minutes for anything ordered later. Food was OK. When I did order my additional naan, I was told they could not serve our table as they were now too busy at which point we walked out. Without any apology or consideration as to how such a business can command when you order and how you order, it is a wonder that anyone leaves this establishment satisfied.
A very good choice of foods, from traditional to unique signature dishes, including kangaroo and shellfish. Very polite and friendly staff. The restaurant is built within an old 1920s bandstand. The fitout is spacious and contemporary. Good value food and all round reliable.
Average food, poor service. Staff reluctantly provided serving spoons and quite simply “dumped “ the bottle of wine on the table. Agressive staff if you don’t give a large enough tip. This is a real let down since when the restaurant opened many years ago it was really good, I guess they are no longer interested in providing a decent service. My advice, look elsewhere, there are plenty of restaurants in Herne Bay.
This restaurant used to be very good but on recent visits they appear to be more interested in their take away customers than they do their restaurant ones. Sit in orders take a long time to appear even when the restaurant is only, at best, half full. If you are ordering in expect a long wait for your dinner to arrive and do not expect it to be to your taste........ unless you like very hot!
Ordered a takeaway through Just Eat, given a delivery time of 90 minutes, phoned straight away to cancel order. Obviously I understand it's a restaurant, but they assured me it would be within the hour when I tried to cancel. An hour later, still no food. Phoned again & politely requested cancellation, 3 members of staff in turn on the phone, getting ruder & ruder! Never ordered from here before & certainly won't again. Awful customer service.
Lucky to get one star. I’ve never tasted food like it. Butter chicken!!! Basically grilled chicken with a tin of tomato soup and chill. Debatable if that was actually cooked properly. Everything was bland, apart from the naan and that was the hottest thing apart from the bowls. Diet Coke no fizz !!! Staff erm have you booked but wasn’t full the whole time we was there. Was so hot inside. Staff were good tho. Won’t be going back
Really great Indian food in a lovely location. Ladies toilet has needed fixing for more than a year, and they could put some alcohol free beer on the menu, but the food is basically flawless.
