One of my favorites places for a good walk. If you have enough time feel free to explore the woods. They have done an amazing job with the public paths and you'll be able to walk up to the Air Force Memorial in less than 30 minutes. Walking down it will be much easier. National Trust members have free parking.
We cycled to Runnymede Park from West London so we enjoyed beautiful views of the river. Upon arrival, we struggled to find all the sites, but we left our bikes and walked across the beautiful meadows. From the three art pieces, we just saw the Jurors and the Haymaking and both were superb. We are certainly returning and this time we will take a picnic and sit by the river bank and enjoy the stunning views for more time. There is a coffee shop as well that was closed by the time we made it.
A great historical English site that I got to visit on a beautiful sunny day. It's easy to get to by car or bus and the fields are really worth visiting. There's also a cafe on the premises with really good food and drinksVisited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Travelled here recently as part of my law school field trip. Very historical with unique architecture, especially the writ in water! Very muddy however, so be prepared with wellies for the long adventureVisited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Wonderful and poignant memorials, staff are always friendly and helpful and car parking is plentiful. Do wish the grass paths were easier to walk on, they sometimes feel like walking on rocks
A jaw dropping slice of history with a lovely walk with poetic pavilion stops. On a sunny day it’s magical and interesting to boot.Visited onWeekendWait time1 hr+Reservation recommendedNo
Very pleasant area to visit with a number of different top attractions including the Magna Carta and JFK memorial. Helpful staff and a decent café and shop inside the visitor centre.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
It’s a nice memorial to the signing of the magma carta. It’s paid for by the US bar association which is a bit random. I don’t think this is the exact spot the document was signed as I think that’s on an island in the Thames but this is a nice tribute. There are floodlights at night and some info boards.
A very nice park where you can go for a walk along the river, cycling or just relax and have a nice picnic enjoying the river view.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Set in a picturesque location near river banks, hill and open grounds, this is the place where one of the most important documents of modern democracy was signed in 1215 AD. Magma Carta formed the basis of most constitutions of the world. It is about 4 mins walk from National trust parking. Please note the grounds to the Magna Carta memorial can be quite muddy on wet days so suitable footwear is advisable.
