There is always a queue out the door for this place and really wanted to try so we arrived at 11 a little earlier than we’ve seen the queue usually and managed to avoid queuing outside. The menu is beautifully written on a large roll of paper on one side of the restaurant, but because it’s not displayed anywhere else it’s quite hard to see it is also placed behind one of the tables which means you can’t see all of it if someone is sitting there - or take a photo of it. The food was really tasty and the smoked salmon looked and tasted fresh and delicious. It is on the pricier end compared to other brunch places but the menu is more creative!
Lovely brunch place, definitely worth queuing for. Great coffee, and lots of different options. I had French toast with apples and bacon and my partner had the Turkish eggs - both delicious!
Had a delicious breakfast and coffee here. We added smoked salmon which was really tasty. The decor is plan and nice and the staff are very polite. It's also dog friendly.Food: 5/5
I defy you find a better café in all of East London. Didn't want to miss out on the pork schnitzel or the chicken sandwich so went both sandwhich for the table. Excellent quality and very unique menu. There was space for a few desserts too which were also very good. Very friendly staff and just an all round cracker. Great value for the quality - will definitely return. It's a menu that needs competing. Was eyeing up the mega salmon baigel on the next table which looked superb.
After walking past this place for 3 years, I finally got taken here by my housemate. The hype of this pace, lives up to it. The cafe is very minimalist, clean, light, airy. I loved the girls who made us very comfortable, made us laugh way too much. The food here is deliciously made, pretty and on another level. I'd definitely be over to try the change in menu.
I love this cafe which near to my niece’s flat … it’s her favourite cafe/ restaurant for breakfast, brunch and lunches… I too now my favourite eatery too. Good that dogs are welcome here xxx
Fantastic Assembly coffee. Great service. Really friendly staff who always greet you with an smile. Food is very good too. I had the Turkish eggs which was delicious and my partner had try crab omelette which has a lot of crab in it. Would definitely recommend.
I went last Saturday around 11.45am, was already a queue of 4-5 people before me, and it started getting longer after I arrived, so go with time because they don't take bookings! Coffee was good, but when I asked about vegan options, the only pastry, which was baklava, was already finished at 12.15pm on a Saturday!! And there were only granola or a leeks tart as options, I ordered the tart. Was Ok small portion/ size but the salad was a little kind of joke: 3 lettuce literally, see the pictures. The place was extremely noisy, I have to shout while talking to my friend, and as we were next to the door, wind came all the time, plus we also were near the kitchen I left smelling like all the things they cooked there!! Not nice at all :/ Service was a little confusing and running all over the smal salon, only 2 waitress. Nothing WOW, just another place unfortunately.
Felt very unwelcomed walking into the cafe. One of the staff saw me coming in and looked away after making eye contact. Was left standing there twiddling my fingers until another staff decided to ask if i was dining in or taking away. I understand everything has gone up in price, but my small flat white with normal cows milk was £3. Wont be going back with the poor service and expensive price.
Best brunch in the area by far. Good selection of dishes, including vegan and gluten free. Creative twists on brunch staples. Love the pancakes as well as the Turkish eggs. The pear, apple and bergamot juice was out of this world. Specialty coffee is top quality too. Definitely worth the wait.
