Amazing French tea house that serve the true french pastries from crossistant to eclairs. This gem of a tea house decor and atmosphere shouts out vintage and comfort, great place to meet up with a friend or a quick refreshment. Highly recommended.
Updating my review; under the new management, I think their baking got even better! It is one of the most buttery and crispy croissant you can get around here. They now take cards payment. They don't do hot breakfast anymore but I think that's perfectly ok. Highly recommended for anyone who loves pastries!! My only wish is to have more GF option for my family
Nice French place with lots of different baked goods and brunch options. We love to come here regularly after a walk in Clapham park and have some tea/coffee with pastries. You gat a large tea pot so it’s enough for longer so you can properly have a chat with your mate. It has lots of seating space, allows dogs inside, have high chairs for children. The style is like a proper French cafe - busy, bustling and quirky. There is lots of noise from chatting people so don’t even need background music. Feels very authentic and defo is a favourite place for lots of locals.
The pastries are classic french and sated my desire for sweet and starchy goodness. The flan tart had a decent wobble.
THEY DONT TAKE CARD PAYMENTS!!! Delicious food. Service a bit chaotic. Took ages for a pot of tea to arrive - maybe got it 15 mins after everything else, after asking for it 3 times.
Amazing pastries, really good quality! Also nice atmosphere Lovely place in London! I miss this place
Second time to visit in three weeks. Very nice pastries but overpriced!
Outstanding place to satisfy your sweet tooth with their pastries, coffee flavour buds and in an actually unique and relaxing atmosphere. They also accept contactless payment something other reviewers rightly complained about before. I went to this place to prepare for my bike ride to Brighton and was fully satisfied by the service. The cappuccino had a strong flavour with just the nice amount of creaminess. The croissant they bake is crispy and just chewy enough. Their sausage roll is out of this world. Sprinkled with some fresh rosemary on top, the dough was crispy and buttery on the inside while the sausage was definitely chosen for its quality as it had a nice sweetness to it. None of it was cheap stuff, it was all quality baking and sourcing of ingredients. The setting feels very traditional and a nice change from modern hipster bakeries. It didn't feel pretentious at all. I'm going back again, even if it takes me an hour to get there.
My favourite croissant in the hood. Sadly the kitchen is closed at the moment, so the served menu is a bit limited. But the pastries are to die for and they do excellent Croc Monsieur, Madam and filled croissants so definitely still worth a regular visit.
So lovely. Loose leaf tea, plenty of pastries and cakes. Staff where friendly and efficient. Authentic decor, I didn't feel like I was in London! A good stop for a break. The loo is downstairs so I don't think suitable for disabled access.
