We have just had an amazing weekend ar Madeira in Fife to celebrate our Golden Wedding. We were able to have all the family staying on site for the whole weekend in attractive modern accommodation, with more friends arriving on Saturday night for the party. The venue could not have been better. Tara and Kate made sure that everything ran smoothly and seemed to know what we needed before we did! The grounds are perfect for children and they all ran free in the magical woods for the whole weekend! The stretch tent looked beautiful on Saurday night with Kate's flowers and all the lovely lighting. Thank you Madeira In Fife, for making our weekend memorable and special!
We recently celebrated my friend's Hen Weekend at Madeira in Fife and adored the cosy atmosphere of the Bothy and having exclusive use of the lodges on site. Tara and Kate offered to provide and support with a range of activities - we made our own pizzas in their pizza ovens, relaxed in the hot tub, enjoyed a yoga class and had a delicious Mexican meal. We also invited The Crafty Hen to run a pottery painting workshop which was well supported by our host Kate who ensured we had everything we needed. The location is also fantastic for enjoying a dip in Pittenweem tidal pool. I would highly recommend a visit to Madeira in Fife and would absolutely go back again. Rooms: Space for extra guests - plenty of bedding and dressing gowns to enjoy the hot tubs. Coffee machine in each room. Nearby activities: Pittenweem a short walk/drive away.
We have just spent a fantastic week at the Gardeners Cottage, Madeira in Fife. Beautiful grounds and super comfortable inside. Lovely white fluffy towels and robes. A great place to take a family and lots of space for the dogs to run around and play in the massive garden. Lots of secrets hidden in the garden and a wonderful safe place for kids to explore. The added bonus with Gardeners Cottage was the wood fired hot tub which was amazing. The Bothy on site sells jams, jellies, and juices all made on site. Also lovely fresh eggs from the owners chickens. Tara and Jamie were excellent hosts and really friendly. Definitely worth a visit
-We were very fortunate enough to be invited to spend the weekend at Madeira in Fife! What a place is all I can say. -It was the most wonderful thing as an extended family to take over the whole place. -We stayed in one of the cottages, which were furnished beautifully and had everything you could need. -The staff were very lovely and very attentive and always on hand if we needed anything. -The grounds were done up with a marquee which we had for a party, but I would imagine would make for a great wedding. -Fizz in the walled garden, Drinks in the Bothy, Ooni made pizza- don’t mind if I do!! - Of all the great things I could say, I would say this has 100% been made with people who know children. Mine spent the weekend safely in paradise exploring all the thoughtfully created stop offs in the ground. So whilst children are not a necessity to go here, if you have then the chances are you might get to enjoy yourself too!!
As a family of six adults, we have just spent an amazing week in the Gardeners Cottage. Plenty of space inside and out. The kitchen was very well equipped and lots of seating in the living room. The garden was wonderful and private with a wonderful seating area and the hottub was great. We haven't been to this area before but we all fell in love with it. We will definitely be back!!!
We celebrated our Golden Wedding with family and friends for a long weekend. We had the use of the Bothy and tent. Excellent support from Kate throughout the weekend, attending to our every need. Thoroughly recommend Madeira for such a gathering ...peaceful and relaxing environment.Rooms: 5/5
Just returned from a large family long weekend at The Madeira - 12 adults and 4 kids. Cara the owner made us feel welcome from the start, the accommodation was super clean, well stocked and very comfortable. Fish and chip van visited by request on the Friday night delicious!, great lunch at the Dory in Pittenweem on Saturday then Afternoon tea at The Fairmont in St Andrews on Sunday. All within easy distance. The Madeira was great for kids and adults alike and we all enjoyed it, even in the rainy weather! Would thoroughly recommend.
We stayed in cottage number 3. Perfect for couples or 4 at a push. Sitting/kitchen/dining room bedroom with super king bed and en-suite shower room. Warm and comfortable. Pleasant grounds with ample car parking. Footpaths beside the road into Pittenweem. Most of Fife is in easy reach by car. Highlights include Scotland's secret bunker, The fishing boat museum in Anstruther and Saint Andrews botanic garden. Lots of castles gardens and fishing villages to explore and there is a fantastic coastal path. Shell bay is worth a visit too. We will be back.
14 family members and 5 dogs, we stayed in the terraced cottages which were clean, tidy and very well equiped. The bothy is a brilliant addition and allowed the whole family to get toether for meals, again very well equiped with cooker, 2 fridges and dishwasher. Theres loads to do around the area from a busy day in Edinbrugh to see the tattoo to quite days visiting local farm shops. An easy place and area to fall in love with, will definately be coming back
This was our second stay in one of the cottages and once again we loved it. The cottage had everything we needed and the grounds were fantastic - our daughter loved the swing and the fairy door. Madeira is a fantastic place from which to explore this beautiful corner of Scotland.Rooms: 5/5
