Have used this shop for many years n even though I now live 14 miles away, it’s still the best fish n chips, despite there being around 20 other fish n chip shops, they don’t come close to the taste or portion size you get from Madeira! I tried my first ever deep fried mars bars from here n I must admit, despite being very dubious, it was LOVELY! I’m drooling just thinking of fish n chips - great plaice great value n great, friendly staff!

Went in at lunch time busy as always but the staff were friendly and chatty and the food was amazing. I learned from my mistake last time I got a large portion of chips and ended up with enough to feed the 5000 and more so this time I went with a small. Fish tasted fresh and the chips were perfect 10/10Food: 5/5

It was quiet when I visited at 12.30 pm. The staff were very friendly and they freshly cooked some delicious haddock. The fish and chips were well wrapped and put in a large paper bag, so there was no smell in the car when we took them home. Good value for money. Parking: Easy parking on street outside.
Good fish and chips! Lovely cooked, not too much batter, deep, thick portion of cod, not too greasy and definitely loads of chips! Very friendly service too.
