My husband went in for two full breakfasts to takeaway, the young girl that served him was extremely rude! Breakfast wasn't the best, unsure if it's because it was the same young girl who cooked our breakfasts, potato scones completely soggy, and full breakfast swimming in beans, blackpudding was nice though. Girl needs some customer service training or change jobs if she's not happy. Sadly won't be back as a customer.
The attitude from the staff, in either shop in barrhead is terrible. I usually ignore it and be polite and order my food. But this morning I ordered food from the wrong shop because when you google cross arthurlie street shop one number comes up, however the number is for the shop on the main street. Simple mistake, but that's down to Macphees to correct that. I get to cross arthurlie shop to collect 2x links with scrambled egg and cheese in a box. And the woman working proceeds to tell me she "will need to send me round to the other shop to collect the food, or it's a waste" I agree, but it was a mistake that I wasn't really at fault for. I explained I needed to get the train and that wouldn't be possible to do. She kept repeating she needs to phone the other shop because of the waste etc. I then asked if she had put cheese in the scrambled egg, she argues with me that I didn't ask for that. I order the exact same thing every single time, by this point I felt really annoyed. I'll not use this place again and I certainly won't recommend it anymore. Like I said previously I ignored the worst customer service. No wonder people don't go there.
What's not to love from Macphees- fab soup, great s and wraps, salad boxes are amazing and wonderful staff xFood: 5/5

Food is okay, best in the area but still not amazing. Every single time I go in there’s always an issue with something. Over charged, missing items… They never have got it right & like I’ve mentioned above, they are the only place in the area that has the best food considering what’s available so it’s the only reason I return. Mia has little to no customer service skills, rude and her face speaks before herself . There’s women in there with great customer service skills and shouldn’t be forgotten but there’s 2 women in particular that anytime I’ve been in are kept on the hot food areas & their faces and attitude is always stinking.
Standard cafe food, Usually try and support local business however I use here only as a last resort, I very rarely complain however of the 4 or 5 times I've been in for food, the staff attitude is always horrendous you leave in a foul mood yourself. Save yourself the pain there's a greggs around the corner.Food: 2/5
Once they know your face second visit, they always have a smile for you. Prices are better than McDonalds or Costa. Would recommend. Food cooked fresh, in front of you.Food: 5/5

Fantastic Sandwich bar great service from the very friendly staff. Great selection of home made soups and fantastic selection of fillers for Sandwiches and rolls. If you've not been before get yourself in and give it a go, you'll not be disappointed.
