We didn't go into the station itself, but on a journey through Wales we stopped in Machynlleth and were very happy to find that the train station had toilets just outside that were free to use. Very useful!
If taking the coastal routes, be aware that some trains are joined and split at Dovey Junction. If it wasn’t for the lovely conductor /train driver we’d have missed our train back as the front was showing Aberystwyth going a few minutes early than ours for Pwhelli.
Lovely station. It was on my way to Snowdon. Helpful staff and the journey from here is so scenic.
A pleasant station with trains calling to go to destinations such as Aberystwyth, Shrewsbury, Birmingham. The station has bicycle racks, a ticket office, café and waiting rooms.
Visited Machynlleth yesterday only to find train to Aberystwth had been cancelled. I would like to thank the wonderful lady at the desk for organizing a replacement bus service. If only everybody could this helpful and polite. Many thanks
