Would never recommend anyone to go here, did Level 3 IT here for a year and it was the worse experience of my life, was told we would learn stuff that we never did, had a teacher who didn't mark the work until the last day of the year. Throughout the second year we had a teacher who on their first day tried fighting a student. Got a massive donation for no reason since all the tech they bought you don't actually use. There is no way they call themselves the best college in cheshire.
Don't go here. I would give 0 stars, but that isn't possible. I have been doing an apprenticeship. I have had no tutor for a total of 6 months of the course I'm 12 months in and had a total of two lessons. I regret going to Macclesfield Collage. Go somewhere else instead
The humanities dept are rabid Marxists who hate white men. I expressed my opposition to Marxist ideology in an essay when I mentioned that Marxists murdered an estimated 200 million people during the 20th century. I was belittled, humiliated and was told to resubmit essays as they weren't good enough. I was also told that I hate women and "don't know how it feels to be a woman", which is as ludicrous as it is slanderous, especially as I worked as an NHS NA. I felt forced to drop out after 3 months and was stung for 3k, a massive amount for a person on a low wage. I'm Jewish in fact but didn't tell them because I refused to play at their Machiavellian identity politics. I subsequently attended the excellent Manchester college where the head of English told me mine was some of the best work he'd seen in over 40 years of teaching. Stay away from Macclesfield College, it's a shakedown operation and not a safe place for boys who risk fake accusations from the personality disordered faculty.
Only parked outside to pick up grandson. He loves it there
i love playing with my friends in the school toilet the best part. the teachers gave me paracetamol for my rectal pain and my friend connor is planning to hit a woman the age of 10 outside school grounds
Sadly wouldn't recommend this college and if you can have a look at alternative colleges before making a final decision. My daughter dropped out after the first three months due to the teaching, lack of pastoral care and a mixture of others. She now attends Stockport College doing the same course she started at Macclesfield College and Loves it, its so different and the teaching is spot on. My Neice also attended this college recently and studied the Business Studies course and left due to the teaching, and under personal opinion was actually bullied a bit by the business studies teacher and was overlooked and had no support. Would recommend anyone to have a good look around other colleges before making a final decision.
Excellent College my kids are now very school
Studied health and social care started getting harassed by people. Staff did nothing to help just wanted me to go in when I was suffering. Staff don't care about welfare and safety of pupils they just think of the money they earn per student. I dropped out never going back don't recommend
The apprenticeship team is a joke. Had a telephone interview scheduled for 3 with Morgan Galley and never got a call. I called back only to be greeted with a horrible attitude.
Macclesfield College is an excellent college. All of the tutors have been brilliant with me when I was completing the Electrical Installations course. Other helpful supporting electrical qualifications are also available in their purpose built testing facility off campus at Heapy St in Macclesfield. Fantastic tutors with excellent knoledge and support. I had a good 3 years here and am now working with my qualification I gained. :-
