The offer ten percent discount but still charge 50 cent service fee 22 cent bag fee and other ways to get back their money so don’t order online with the discount because it ends up a total of 2 percent discount. Pointless. No cash option wouldn’t let me pick one.
This place was the best for years, really bad lately. Three bad experiences in a row, even the owner tried to dismiss the burnt food, it tasted reheated! Gave them chance after chance but between bad food, orders left short and the staff are so rude. Such a pity as this was a great takeaway. Would not recommend!
Food is gorgeous from this macaris. Honestly can't fault it. You do pay for that, it's always been that bit more expensive that other chippers. Portions are standard so like most places they could do with being a bit more generous with their chip portions!Food: 5/5
Portion size of chips is extremely small compared to other Take Aways in Tallaght. Basically fill a bag up 3/4’s of the way full with zero extra thrown into the bag. €3.80 for a bag of chips which is double the price they were 5 years ago. Potatoes have gone up 20% in the last 5 years a bag of chips up double. Chips are secondary to a Burger or a batter sausage they are a plate filler. Best thing about Macari’s is their Fish is nicer than Leo Burdocks. Food is always fresh. The big let down is always the portion size for chips. You’ll get double the amount of chips from Borza Springfield at the same price. Macari’s Chicken tenders are amazing. They win on their fresh fish and their Chicken tenders however nothing else is outstanding on their menu.
!!!!DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!! Horrible customer experience. They got my order wrong as well as the popper in front of me. Charged me more than what my order was. Called then to tell them that they got my order wrong to see what they could do to rectify it and the lady on the phone was so unhelpful and hung up the phone on me. Did not offer any form of compensation even though it was their fault and turned it back on me. Horrible customer service. Didn’t intend to get screamed at on the phone just cause they got my dinner wrong!!!
Bought a kebab there recently. I was just handed it in a foil wrapper , not even in a bag . When I got home it was freezing. Also when I buy a burger or fish or sausage there they used to give you a scoop of chips with them Not anymore... They are gone very miserable....
I had a great time here. The food was delicious and was customised to our needs. The staff was really witty and hospitable which added to our experience by ten folds. Vegetarian options: They had an excellent vegetarian burger. Patty was soft and delicious. Kid-friendliness: The staff is witty, warm and caring. It’s a small place but they let the kids move aroma bf. Parking: They have parking right outside the restaurant Dietary restrictions: They cater to dietary restrictions if you discuss the order in advance. They suggest different options so there’s always something there for everyone.
Rang the chipper told her where I live and stared to say about the appentments saying that I never answer the phone when the driver is at my place told her that the driver never rings us to tell when he is out side they changed the drivers and they are not friendly don't even get out of there cat to give us the food I think I will look for another chipper in the tallaght area the staff are not friendly at all and the food has gone down hill too doesn't take anything to have a bit of kindness so so won't be ring them Anny more
Great place for all your chips,fish, burgers, chicken, pizzas, the food is great
The first time I tried it, it was really good. Unfortunately, the second time was so bad, I would never consider ordering from there ever again !! Patty was stale and tasted funny and the fries had a hair in it ?!!!
