Incredible that some years ago they set out to remind people that shops with their special label / sticker was an authentic Italian chipper ! But the reality is this takeaway does not serve the community as they close at 10pm on weekends !! , They do not deserve the support of local community , I mean it used to be on weekends you go for a beer and a takeaway on the way home , How does that work when they close at 10pm , I mean third world countries offer their community and their regular customers much more than this ! I cannot wait for a competitor to come and take this space !!!
Friendly staff with nice food and good prices. Closed so often it’s easier to go somewhere more reliably open… I understood during the height of the pandemic, but it’s a bit harder to defend these days. Shame.

Always closed early, would be great if they stayed open until ten like they say they are as have been disappointed quite a few times when I went down to get food only for it to be closed
Been going to this chipper since the 1970's. Tony and his family are absolute legends. The staff are very friendly and the food is fantastic. Suffice to say, this is hands down the finest chipper in the world that I've ever been to.
Loved this place but last time I went down I put an order in when I got home 2 things missing when I went back was told they said to me they hade none and I told the lady I did not hear here say that and because I hade to go back down to the shop by the time I get home my other food would be cold was just told sorry about that.i was not happy food went into bin when I got home as dont like to reheat food from choppers cost me €30.20 cent and batter sausage batter was to hard
Worst chips ever. Been there a couple of times and chips have always had that nasty after taste caused by old potatoes going green. Rank. Can’t even manage their supply of potatoes. Also a drab depressing chipper. Macari’s - they should rename it 'Macabre's. You'd see more pleasant faces at a funeral. And god forgive you if you were to query anything. On one of the occasions I asked for a small snack box but got a large one. Jaysus, the look of disgust on their faces when I said I only ordered a small one and then subjected to a disrespectful silence before they dumped out the box contents, before slapping it back together and tossing it on top of counter. It was not even busy. Completely unwarranted, ignorant and disproportionate. Depressing awful place.
Disappointed they close early. I don't know why they did it.
Really and truly brutal seriously chips where like glass and tasted like reheats onion rings are like the ones from the bag from dunnes or tesco really better off walking by and going hungry
