Uncomfortable!!nnShop here a lot since we moved to Devizes a number of years ago… prefer the products to other food outlets!nnSadly almost every time I go in there, I feel like I’m being watched as if I’m a shoplifter, very uncomfortable, thought I was being paranoid.nnHowever, went in there with my partner sometime ago, bought our weekly shop and the lady on the self service check-out decided to check our bags to see if we had scanned everything, she made the awful excuse that she wanted to check to make sure we had not over scanned items - my partner and I stood there completely embarrassed and of course shocked over her actions.nnSince then I decided to stand outside as often as I can, whilst my partner shops on her own so we are not stereo-typed!nnA few days ago I went on my own to pick up a few things for my partner, went to the self service check-out only to see that a number of items had already been scanned on the screen, I pointed this out to the staff member only for her to check to see if I had put anything in my pockets, thankfully I was only wearing shorts and t-shirt and I’m not that well-endowed so clearly I wasn’t hiding anything!nnI appreciate staff have to be diligent, and clearly there’s a massive issue there with people shoplifting which is a disgrace !! But I feel very uncomfortable going in there just to do my general shopping…nnI’ve contacted HQ to see what they can do but the last few occasions has forced me to leave a 2 star review.nnGood luck M&S in sorting this out, clearly you need support from HQ regarding this issue.nnShame really I want this store to do well, as I love M&S generally.nnFood 5* - well stocked and quick to discount so grab yourself a bargainnnCleanliness 5* - never ever seen a spec of dust anywherennPrice 4* - little pricey but as we all know it’s M&S and we always want cheaper products!nnHave click and collect!!nnNot sure if I’ll return on my own, I’ll wait to hear back from HQ.nnThanks
fantastic little shop, really nice staff.
Absolutely cannot fault the staff here. They are always friendly and helpful, keep the store clean and still manage a warm welcome even when it’s five minutes to closing. A special shout out to Sharon - you are a true asset to the store.
It is a clean and friendly shop, the staff are really helpful.
Went in to buy some Christmas reductions, very good deals. Also some reductions in goods they are no longer going to stock.
