Frequent this store on a regular basis and it’s a real asset having an M&S Food Hall in Chepstow. However, today popped in for some pastries from the bakery counter only to find a couple of flies feeding on the apricot danish pastries. So decided best not to risk it and informed a member of staff. I think M&S need to consider the appropriateness of leaving fresh bakery goods uncovered on the counter especially during the summer months. It’s put me off my favourite danish .
Always used to be very good but recently much less stock, sold out of date items which hadn’t been removed from shelves. Disappointing considering this is supposedly upmarket
The staff flat-out lied to my face—claimed the loaf had just come out of the oven, but I was holding it, and it was stone cold. They refused to slice it because there were boxes in the way. I even said I’d pay for it upfront, just to prove a point—but they still wouldn’t do it. The dishonesty and lack of basic effort made it clear: they could have helped, they just didn’t want to.
Great store. Well stocked and with free parking. Super
