Visited as a large group for a special birthday, dined in a private dining room which was lovely, waiters were efficient. I'm afraid it was the food that let Lytham house down, the food tasted lovely however we had to send several meals back as they were cold or undercooked . We did not want to upset the Birthday girl so several of us did not complain or say anything when food was cold, my beef wellington was tepid and my vegetables were cold, my sticky toffee pudding was cold and dry like it had not been cooked long enough.nVery disappointed
We recently went to the 1940s weekend and found this delightful restaurant that wasn't packed out.nWe were shown to a lovely table and ordered our foodnI had what was probably the best ever rump steak cooked to perfection. Not an ounce of fat was on the meatnMy wife had grilled aubergine, which again was a delicious experience.n5 stars for for the food and atmosphere.nThe service whilst pleasant, the wait for our food was just over 30 minutes.nWe would definitely return as it is excellent value
A rare ***** from me but deservedly so. From walking through the door to walking out we had an enjoyable lunchtime. All staff especially Alex, were very attentive. Excellent menu and great choice of wines and beers. Alex even went to the trouble of explaining what selection of craft beers were on and even brought my short list to review. My partner is a very fussy steak eater and hers was cooked to perfection rare. Will definitely be there again and advise anyone doing the same to book in advance as not to be disappointed.
Lovely welcoming chic venue offering high quality food and wine complimented by excellent service in trendy upmarket atmosphere. We were also impressed by the live music gig they had on last night! Having said that, the singer gave her 110% at the start of the evening, but was begining to fade towards the end of the evening!
We went on Friday, stunning table, make sure to sit upstairs. Ask the waiters for recommendations too, they're spot on. We had scallops, potato lobster thermidor, hake and pork, all were stunning. Great treat for a birthday and beautiful place! We'll be back!
