Over-inflated prices for smaller than usual coffee measures. Little barista skill with steamed milk simply free poured into a cup of espresso coffee. Despite wearing uniform each and every time of visiting I still have to directly ask for discount to be applied, and the member of staff appears to take it very personally that I’ve just saved myself 34p as though I’ve literally taken it out of their own pocket. Service and friendliness seems to drop off from that point onwards. If you don’t like discounts then don’t offer them.
Lynwood & Co is a nice place to sit and have coffee and a sandwich at lunch. The chicken pesto melt was delicious.
A touch more expensive than other coffee shops/cafés but the quality is great so I'd say worth the price. The sour dough with scrambled eggs was delicious well seasoned and a good size portion. Staff are lovely and very accomodating. Only issue would be getting a seat sometimes as it's not very big at busy at peak times to sit in.
Popped in for breakfast. When ordering was told it would be a 20 min wait, it turned out to be 40 for just a bacon sandwich and scrambled egg, sausage and mushrooms on toast. Food is brought out plate by plate meaning others are left waiting on the table for their own to be served. The place was freezing, so cold we had to wear our coats. The food was disappointing, especially after the wait. The bacon hadn't been drained so the bread was swimming in fat. The sausages were over cooked, dry and inedible .The butter tasted like a cheap margarine which is odd when the other ingredients do appear to be of a good quality but seem to have been ruined by over cooking. Staff seemed disinterested and checked out. Disappointing, expensive and certainly won't be returning.
Lovely and clean place to sit in and enjoy some amazing food and bakery treats. The staff are really helpful and friendly, I would recommend this for everyone to enjoy.
