"Lydstep Beach Holiday Park near Tenby, South Wales perches on Pembrokeshire’s coast, in what has to be one of the UK’s premier spots for a domestic holiday. There’s fun for all the family here, including dogs who are welcomed with open arms. An indoor pool is joined by a range of water sports to try on the coast, taking advantage of the spectacular sea being a matter of steps away. There’s an indoor climbing wall, and fantastic food and drink at The Manor House, which boasts an outdoor area overlooking the magnificent coast. By staying here, you’re just a short drive from terrific Tenby, a historic town with a classic castle and beautiful beach to match. And you’ll get access to some of the facilities at sister site Celtic Haven, too."

We stayed in a private rent for 4 nights. Caravan, location and clubhouse lovely and clean. Staff especially Jordan and Hannah really friendly. Food!! Great choice on menu but most items unavailable! We had curry first night, it wasn't too bad, chicken tasted plastic. Second night gave it another try, only 4 people in place but yet gammon came out overcooked and like a frisbee. On ordering was told no pineapple and asked if hubby could have side salad instead of peas but no salad available either! Need to be a bit more organised for such a big franchise as it's the only thing that lets the place down. So few guests there this week so why so little choice in food and should've been cooked to perfection! Wouldn't return. Nearby activities: Close to lots of amenities,we went to Tenby and folly farm.
Awful Haven Holiday Park Lydstep Beach EVER. The whole place was awful AVOID MOST SENIOR STAFF DONT CARE!!!!!! I am registered disabled there are only 2 disabled toilets in the whole holiday park 1x in the swim area & can only be used for swimmers only. The other outside the pool area which can be used by the rest of the holiday park had a broken lock which broke on the Saturday after our party arrived on the Friday was told by a manager that the they could not fix on the Sunday and had to order the part which should arrive by the following Tuesday as of Thursday night still not fixed so door does not lock. The cleanliness of the caravan when we arrived was at best average bases of wardrobes very dusty, cobwebs in all bedrooms bug's around the caravan & some bedding Oven was not cooking food only working on top shelf even though we reported and had maintenence try to solve problem but still did not work not acceptable as we was a family of 5 people so could not eat all together was offered on the day before we left £100 Haven vouchers to use it the Manor House/ or on- site shop by the end of our stay not even 24 hours We ate at the Manor House restaurant various times throughout our week long stay due to having no working oven. but one evening the 5 of us tried to eat we tried to order smaller portion sizes as we was not hungry only to be told they could had no ham on the kids pizza as had supplier issues not been any delivered in ages told by a senior member of staff ordered a lasagna instead which arrived burnt had big chunks of carrots and was heated up in a microwave rather than freshly prepared my daughter refused to even eat it so went hungry had another kids meal burger sliders suppose to come with mayonnaise baby gem lettuce but that was absent at every evening kids meal. Out of the 2 people that ate the kids meals that day both was ill the following day. On the last evening we was looking forward to the evening and we saw that there was a live artist starting at 8:30pm after the adult bingo so we knew we would have to leave immediately after the adult bingo finished as our autistic boy hates loud music and can have a full meltdown as he is 14 years old it is a lot harder for us me and my husband to control these and keep him happy but during the end of the kids evening entertainment the artist turned up and almost immediately started performing a sound check which was very loud this started at 7:45pm when he was due to start at 8:30pm after the bingo was finished he walked around and sang very loudly at various points around the venue while young children was very close to his EIGHT LARGE SPEAKERS there was no warning of any sort either from the performer or Haven staff this continued with stopping and starting getting louder until my autistic son was getting very distressed even though he was wearing noise cancelling headphone and had his hands over his ears as well my 7 year old daughter was also shielding her ears as the noise was to loud for the environment so my husband HAD TO LEAVE WITH MY AUTISTIC SON DUE TO THE VOLUME. Told staff when leaving it was to loud and distressing for families with young children and our autistic son. After my husband and son left he still continued with his sound check now almost 30 minutes after his arrival at which point I personally had to yell "SHUT UP" at which he turned down the volume a little bit and stopped his sound check after almost 40 minutes after starting. After the Adult Bingo was finished I was personally approached by 2 other family groups and one of adults that was sitting very close to 3 of the speakers said she could still not hear properly a full 15 minutes after he stopped his sound check and both families said they would also be reporting the noise length and duration and I should have had a manager apologise to our family but that did not happen as we was leaving I spoke to a manager only to be told he had to do a sound check and the staff should explained about the noise but DID NOT DO SO. NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN.................AWFUL
Lovely place to be. Feels like a different world. The beach is really nice. The staff are very kind and caring. I would love to go there again
Nice place for caravan holiday with nice sea front view directly from each caravan. Entertainment center is very small as compared to other Haven resorts but is really good. Had a nice stay.
Nice site but very caravan owner orientated. If your a guest of haven you feel very unwelcome and pushed out. They also now don't allow guests to bring jet skis even tho this is not said on their website. Don't make the mistake of taking your jet skis as you will be refused even though there is more than enough space to keep trailers around the park.
Overall this park is more to the basic level of activities than a normal haven park. There are no big shows, just mainly karaoke, bingo and quizes. The pool is quite small compared to other haven sites and to many people were allowed in, even though we booked in advance. You just kept swimming into people. Only went swimming once then didn't go again. The food on site is limited compared to other haven sites. We went the first night and the wait was just too long to stay and get a seat so we went back to caravan. The next day the food/bar area was closed due to staff shortages. The beach was amazing and our caravan we stayed in via air BnB was on the sea front. We went swimming in the sea most days. Overall, the site was basic, we could not hire towels like on every other haven site. Luckily we brought some with us. Limited onsite food menu at times and seating. Reception is just the same room as where they sell you owners caravans, which was confusing at first as I presumed it was at the lodge area where entertainment was. If you know what to expect in advance then you will be fine. But we wasted money on four activity passes we only used once for swimming. Even the arcade is just a handful of machines. If you want a more simplistic site then this is it. If you prefer a more I'm your face holiday with nightly shows and different food areas and arcades then the neighbouring kiln park may be better suited. But despite any negatives, we enjoyed ourselves with the beach and visits to Tenby.
Couldn't fault the service here, every one helpful and friendly...I was surprised by the quality of the static caravanRooms: 5/5
We visited in mid-November. There were no facilities open where we were and the site by the beach had a down-at-heel air about it. Not a place to linger.
Too many restrictions on site club house if you want a table must book in advance for two hours only Can't any longer call on spec just for half hour but no restrictions on out side tables weather permitting
Needs better lighting from the Manor house to the caravans, some sections were quite dark. Usual dog owners not cleaning up after their dog's. The food was ok, it took along time to get served. The segways this year were alot more fun, the instructor was more interested in the activity and encouraging the children to participate. Highly recommend the target shooting.
