In a pitiful town there is a pitiful station… If you HAVE TO come here, then be prepared for a workout… thankfully I can carry my luggage but God forbid someone is not able to, has a baby pushchair or is on a wheelchair! There is no lift on platforms, so unless you can fly, be prepared to be cramped in tiny hallways leading to mucky dirty ticket hall. There is not enough seats on platforms, if by any miraculous chance you will spot a member of staff 9/10 times they will be incredibly ignorant and rude. The only lift that leads from the ticket hall to the outside of the station is broken. Station itself could do with a proper wash / renovation. There is a number of homeless people / beggars trying to disturb you, so apart from lack of lift, rude staff and no step free access also be prepared for this. Disastrous station from Nightmares! But yet again… who WILLINGLY would come to Luton…
Luton is a very nice town, you just need to want explore this beautiful town to see that
Very much like Luton itself: Run down and in desperate need of refurbishment. Coming to the station is a warning as to how bad the rest of this town is.nnInaudible robot announcements on platform 1/2, completely muffled and slurred.nRusting canopy supports and holes in the canopies.nNo info TV screens on the platforms themselves if you need to change. Had to look at my phone.nSteep steps just to get up to the station itself like those in a car park. No lifts whatsoever.nTwo stars because the one staff member I spoke to was actually quite friendly.
Luton Station is one of the busy station which is connecting to Central n north london. Location is good coz a big shopping mall is just around. You can ind a Arndale Shopping center just ar walking distance from the station. Starbucks and Local pubs at walking distance. Ample parking spaces . Railway station is connected to bus station for Milton Keynns /St Alban/ HemelHampsted / Couple of cafes, pubs n shops as well as a big interchange bus station around too. This station is not updated but very old one with basic facilities. No escalators or lifts. It’s mean if u have heavy luggage, u have to carry it by urself. It’s but dark station, full of diesel smell. I don’t know why they r not going to update it. But anyhow at least it’s good to have station than nothing.
Luton is a town which is diverse. U have English, Arabs, Africans and Asian. Good for some people bad for some, when u talk to them about there experience.
