Please just shut down already. What's the point in giving people false hope? Whenever I go to Ludlow post office there is a huge queue and only one person at a window, despite there being three windows I feel so sorry for that one person having to deal with everyone and this review is no reflection on them... For a town of this size you need to have a reliable post office and not keep people waiting for 30 minutes whenever they want to post a parcel. Furthermore, what's with these new opening times? Shut for lunch? Come on!! That's the only time most working people have to visit the place. & 3pm close?! Absolutely ridiculous.
I had a parcel to post and as unbelievably no post offices in Ludlow were open on a Saturday I had to post today. I can only say I've never waited 45 minutes to be served at a post office before. One person serving and massive queues in front and behind. At last another member of staff came to serve and the current member left!!!! Back to one member off staff! Luckily for me 2 people in front got fed up waiting and left. What kind of service, Ha, Ha, are you providing in a busy market town like Ludlow. Get the opening times right on your websites and put more staff in during busy lunchtime periods. I usually use the post office in Dorrington on my way to work, excellent service, staff and no queues.
Very poor service. Not the staff's fault most of the time as they can only go as quick as they can. But surely somebody above them needs to understand that this post office is the only Post Office in the centre of Ludlow and it has a rather large queue almost every time. There definitely needs to be way more than just one member of staff serving over 10 people waiting. Really really poor
Arrived today to post a parcel at 14.50 on a weekday. Very long line of people waiting to be served and a 15.00 closing time, a single window open... you know how this ends. Please please please just get more staff in and adjust your opening times to align with the rest of the working world 9-5. Thanks.

It would be more helpful if this place was shut down for everyone concerned. Nothing is fit for purpose. Apparently they couldn’t take a parcel, which was carried, as it was too big but I could drop it off on a Tuesday… so only take big parcels on Tuesdays!?!?
I don't understand why this post office can't stick to a regular set of operating hours. The inconsistency is infuriating. It would help if the staff were pleasant but they're grim-faced and unhelpful.
This and the small One stop are the worst PO I have ever seen in all of my 44 years on the planet. They may as well not be there. Someone is drawing money under false pretences. The opening hours are just made up and really needs to be sorted as it causes issues for people. The actual staff are friendly and polite.
Poor customer service. Incorrect opening times published. Bad queue management. I get the feeling they're having a lot of customer problems so I'm not sure why they don't help themselves by publishing the correct opening hours and managing the queue better. It's not difficult - use more signage, more communication and be more helpful to your customers. They don't seem to care. The guy at One Stop Gravel Hill was very friendly and helpful though - go there - the experience is much better!
Tried to post some important documents at BOTH One Stop Post Offices between 2.30 and 3.00 pm today. Both closed, one 'due to a printer error' and this one had a hand scrawled note in the window 'Have to close at 12.30 today sorry for any inconvenience'. This is not a one off from either of them. I have probably visited this post office or the one on Gravel Hill 10 times a year in the last 5 years and have found one or the other shut half of those times, at other times they open late. Read your reviews - I am not the only one. This is not acceptable, perhaps trading standards should look into this? Or is this a ploy to claim that customers do not use your service and the only option is to close down, make redundancies, get customers to use the online self-service and just so happen to drive up your profit margins into the bargain? Seriously, this has been a regular occurrence for YEARS now.
