We came here as a stop for our journey back home after a visit to Dorset coast for afternoon tea. The family that run the place are super nice and very helpful. The farm house is kept as traditional as possible with doorways, décor and furnishings. You really feel like you have stepped back in time. Afternoon tea was delicious with freshly baked cakes, hot scones with cream and jam. The staff were very nice to the kids and had drawing and crayons too. I have no doubt the food menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner would be just as good traditional food made with love. After chatting to the owners it was really interesting to hear about the farm and its history from being a working dairy farm built in 1700 to what it is today. Set on over 100 acres with fishing lakes and camping facilities. I'll definitely recommend this to anyone who is visiting the area and may come back for a camping visit. Thank you for making our trip to Dorset very memorable.
A little tea shop tucked out of the main road....friendly and chatty good value and the food looked nice...the fire place was a bonus on a cold day...plenty tidy and with character...
Travelled a fair distance after reading previous positive reviews. Our experience was - Staff trying to deal with too many customers at a time - flitting between - resulted in wrong orders, cool tea and a "Victoria Wood" atmosphere. Would not go again. Scones not even average.
We called on here this morning. Delightful place. The smell of the roast lunch was very inviting but we only wanted tea and scones. The homemade scones were delicious. Very welcoming and friendly owners and staff.
Very nice setting. Great cream tea with proper home made jam and scones that were light and just perfection. Had a wonder around the grounds after with the dogs.
Walked just under 2 miles in the pouring rain to go to the tearooms only to find it has closed. The man we bumped into said he had sold it. Could have taken all the signs down advertising the tearooms and changed the website also. Thoroughly drenched and hungry.
Have been to this quaint little tearoom for Sunday dinner and afternoon tea, to celebrate birthdays. The staff are fantastic and the food is great. Highly recommend and great prices to
