Staying over Xmas nearby and we are pleased we tried this Chinese - excellent food hot & tasty. Sweet & sour chicken, crispy batter, etc Will hope to try again soon!
People were polite but food was horrendous. I love a chinese curry and have been on a diet so was so excited to have my beef curry. One mouthful and I threw it in the bin. Maybe other dishes are good but this was awful
It's a cheap and cheery alternative to cooking dinner. Pleasant enough if you're in Axminster and like Chinese takeaway give it a try. It's cash only. They have fortune cookies!Food: 4/5
Had a takeaway from lucky house 2 beef currys TASTELESS special chow main all veg. Won't use again
Had an excellent Takeaway from here last night. Very pleased with the food, the service and the price. The crispy duck was fantastic. Will order from here again.

Yesterday had the amazing Chinese meal take-away. Ordered the meal the day before n picked the meal up on the dot n still streaming hot when arriv back home 15 mins later. Higly recommended. Had King prawn curry with rice. Beef Curry with chips. Chicken n mushrooms. Prawn crackers. Sesame prawn toast n spring roll. Two big eaters n we were so full. Taste fantastic Good value for money
We ordered our food over the phone and then picked it up. The service was fast 15 minutes so we didn't have long to wait and I found the staff were very pleasant and friendly. Oh and everyone loved the food too. When asked what was your favourite dish, one family member immediately piped up with "Everything!"
This is currently called Golden House. This was the most wonderful Christmas Eve dinner. They provide a lovely atmosphere with tasteful decor and the food was fantastic. Spring rolls to die for. Even better were the utterly delightful staff.
I live in Axminster so am well qualified to judge the local restaurants/takeaways. Having used the other chinese takeaway in our little market town I much prefer the Lucky House. The portions are more generous you can count the king prawns on more than one hand. There is no sit down restaurant, as in the other take away, but it is what it is. Well cooked food, plenty of it , friendly service. Parking on the road opposite, or a very short walk up from the car park on South Street. Would recommend.
