Story

Voted Suffolk Museum of the Year 2012, Lowestoft Maritime Museum is based in a Grade 11 listed cottage in Sparrow's Nest Park. Run entirely by volunteers, the museum underwent an extensive refurbishment in 2010, supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund, doubing in size and creating a first class modern facility to honour the town's rich maritime heritage.

Small but very interesting and the folks looking after it should be given medals. We owe them so much. Out history is so important and should never be forgotten.

Not a huge museum but a surprising lot of history to see here. Good for an hour or so.
