An extensive well stocked place, light and airey, friendly staff. A nice space be in.
When a library becomes a community hub for clubs, for organisations to do job searches and interviews and meetings in general areas and the council upstairs with members of the public in and out loudly and people coming upstairs to chat.... I asked if there was an actual quiet area to work as I was trying to do my degree work, and another man said to them he was trying to read... The answer was, this is the quiet area!! This library is not about books and reading or a place you can come and work - it should be renamed: Lowestoft's Community Hub with books.

I visit this library lots. The furniture and bookshelves are neatly arranged in both the upstairs and downstairs room. There are lots of chairs, sofas, and tables available to use upstairs in the library. The library has a huge selection of books that are well arranged on each bookshelf. The staff are very helpful and friendly if you need to help trying to find specific books, or have any other questions, And the place is very clean and tidy too. This is one of the best libraries that I've visited.
This cafe is in the library and was just what we wanted after we had parked in the car park nearby and before we set off to do our shopping! There is a varied menu although we only had a cuppa! The staff are very friendly and the cafe is airy, clean and spacious!
