New owners taken over. Lovely and friendly. Took our cat to stay for a couple of days. They even provide food. If your cat has special dietary requirements they accomodate this also. Lovely accommodation with lots of space. Will be returning in 3 weeks.
After thinking long and hard about boarding our 2 dogs we chose lower hey for over Christmas. Upon visiting prior to boarding my mind was at ease, I love the fact they live on site and they know their stuff and are very friendly . Upon collecting my dogs they seemed happy and healthy and I would not hesitate to board them there again. Great service.
I left my dog here this summer 2018 and they treated her like a princess. After our holiday, when I collected her I have never seen my dog so happy or so healthy, she was so full of beans and it was like home from home. She had been extremely well cared for. Thank you Lower Hey Kennels
Had a few bad experiences with other kennels, but finally found one that suits both us and our dog Libby. A family run business, who obviously care for our pets in their care. Picked Libby up today after 5 days there, she was happy, clean and bright as a button. This really does put us at ease when we have to leave her there. I've sent my 2 dogs Here for the last 4 years. I have a staff and American bulldog, some kennels are funny because of the breed, Ray is brilliant with my big and daft dogs lol. I think people sometimes think kennels should be a home from home for there pets, me personally prefer knowing my dogs are safe, contained and fed. I've used a home boarder years ago. Never ever again. Bella and mojo will only ever stay with Ray. Just returned from a 2 week vacation, both my dogs looks just the same as when I left them.
You couldn't ask for a better place my dog buster labradoodle has been boarded here a few times.I couldn't ask for a better place for him. He's an over active dog and they are brill with him The staff are amazing and extremely friendly and know what there talking about. Called in today to book an appointment to view, having been unable to get an answer on the phone. Female unable or unwilling to listen to what was being asked, i.e. can we make an appointment to view and instead continually stated that there is no availability for summer. Strange response, given she has no idea when we are going away. Clearly the business is so successful that new customers are not required and there is no need to treat enquiries with basic politeness and manners. Very, very disappointing experience. Will never return.
Lucy is a very anxious dog but wags her tail when we arrive at kennels and has no problem when I leave her. I'm not even sure she misses me
My cat stayed here for a week when I went to pick him up he was very poorly ,he’d had diarrhoea and had been sick and his fur was stood up on end.Got told by owners I had not wormed properly even though I took my cat each month to vets to be defleed and dewormed the vet nurse put solution on every month.Lower hey withheld my cats food and didn’t feed him chicken and rice or seek vet care. When I called them on this and threatened to report them they threatened me. Don’t go here they don’t care for your animals properly and yet it’s still open. It should be closed down. Had to take my cat to the vets for treatment.They made my cat ill.
