Very small portions of poor quality food. Service slow, even when only two tables of two people for lunch. They were unable to fulfill my request for a small portion of boiled rice instead of potato or bread, both of which I am allergic to. The piece of smoked salmon in my starter was tiny, approximately 2" by 2". They don't take credit cards, only cash or cheques, but I did not see a sign anywhere informing me of this fact when I was ordering my food. No one walks about with a cheque book in their bag or pocket these days. I rarely walk about with more than enough cash to pay for parking, I always use a card. I would not recommend this restaurant.
Went here ages ago, pre Christmas 2002 and before TripAdvisor/Google and smartphone were around. You were only allowed to pay by cash, which said it all. Now the restaurant has changed hands and is Turkish. It actually opens for customers where Lovejoy never seemed to be
Can't give a review of the service, food or interior. Closed on a Saturday in the middle of the day in a town/village that is already sleepier than a wild west ghost town! What's that all about?
Very friendly and polite staff, fantastic food , as from the new year 2017 lovejoys is no longer .... It's a Turkish kebab place!!!
