My experience at Lovat House has excellent. Andrew Barber provided my treatment with care and compassion and was very professional. He talked me through everything, helped me to understand the issues with my teeth and gums and how to help myself going forward as well as putting me at ease during the various procedures. I am happy to say that my treatment has been successful. I would like to thank Andrew and all of the staff at the practice. I would happily recommend this practice most highly.
Everyone was kind and welcoming, taking the time to talk through and explain everything. My dentist was calm and confident, quickly making me feel more relaxed about the visit. Lovat House seems to be a friendly, up-to-date place where you can be sure of appropriate treatment administered with skill and care.
My husband and I have been patients of Lovat House Dental and Mr Andrew Barber for over three years. During this time we have had several complex dental procedures carried out, including an implant and several crowns. Mr Barber has been excellent in all aspects of the treatment and we are both extremely happy with the outcomes.
Lovely, helpful receptionists at Love House. Appointment was on time. Procedure thoroughly explained by my dentist before beginning. Had 1 injection which I didn't even feel !! Filling felt great afterwards. Looking forward to more dental care - I recommend this practice highly.
This is an excellent dental practice. Although I have now moved from the immediate area I’m going to stay with this practice as a Denplan patient. On arrival there is plenty of parking on Christ Church Road but it is necessary to record your parking stay prior to your visit. A simple enough task on a phone or pc. The staff are welcoming and the practice is well run and efficient. The dental staff are top class; the Hygienist thorough and patient. I have a particular fear of dental appointments following a horrific visit to another practice as a child in the 1960s. This week I had a filling replaced and quite frankly can’t rate my dentist James highly enough as I hardly felt a thing. If you need a new Dental Practicr, this is the one for you.
Unfortunately my last experience with yourselves was a gnats-hair away from you becoming the new Highway Men. Previously I had a temporary filling put in with a view to having the cracked rear tooth taken out at a later date. This cost around £80. Unfortunately, I also have a number of other "issues" that will shorten my life expectancy considerably .... one of which is in my mouth as well. Anyway on the day I turned up but was really ill. Later that night the Hospital confirmed I had “full-on” Flu and I slept for 3 days solid. My appointment was clearly made to have this tooth removed however the Dentist I saw tried to tell me I had an apse, the same as he told the old lady before me. I asked him to stop messing and take the tooth out once and for all but he refused and insisted on taking an X-ray even though I'd previously had one and charged me £77 for the pleasure and guess what …. I was right. No apse. Anyway he insisted I have another appointment in 2 hours time .... WHAT? By this time I was so ill I couldn’t argue. I went to reception and said I'd be back at the apointed time but “money bags” behind the counter wanted paying there and then previously I had accidentally bounce a check on them with no idea it had happened and she balled me out in front of all the people in the waiting room on that occasion so reluctantly I gave her what I consider was extorted money as when I had the tooth out 2 hours later I had to pay another £190 for the pleasure. Now I had expected to pay this figure as I'd had a quote when I booked. They didn't however warn me about the unnecessary added fee as I had, as I said, booked to get the offending item removed NOT messed with. To rub salt into the expensive wound the dentist damaged to tooth next to the offending one and subsequently I'm looking for an honourable practitioner to amend the mistake. On a final note I fully expect the surgery to take this post down and ignore me so I openly challenge them to do the right thing. Lovat House Dental, 32 Christ Church Road Cheltenham, GL50 2PL
Very good treatment by my Manaf - very gentle and thorough. Was surprised to be asked to sit in the corridor when I arrived for my appointment as the staff were using the waiting room. Easily avoid this by asking patients not to arrive between 1 pm - 2 pm or start afternoon appointments at 2:15 perhaps.
Always happy at Lovat House! Such a nice, clean, friendly place and Amy is such a lovely hygienist! Wouldn't go anywhere else now.
I only signed up with Lovat House this week, but I’m already so impressed with them. Firstly, the receptionists have been so welcoming, helpful and are very well informed. From my first call over the phone to when I arrived for a check-up and hygienist appointments, I couldn’t have asked for more from them. I saw James Barber for my check-up and he was also very welcoming, professional and made me feel comfortable. He gave me detailed explanations of what treatment was needed and why, and has given me a dental plan to get my oral health back on track. I saw Amy for my hygiene appointment, and again, so welcoming, professional and gave me so many tips on how I can improve my cleaning habits. She gave me detailed and honest answers to all my questions which was amazing! I haven’t had a treatment yet, but I have no doubt that my experience will be similar to those I’ve had this week. I would highly recommend Lovat House to anyone who is looking for a dentist in Cheltenham - they’ve gone above and beyond my expectations so far!
Recently had a dentist check up, hygienist appointment and a wisdom tooth extraction. Great practice, really professional and friendly dentists and hygienists. My dentist James is great and kept checking in with me whilst I had my extraction and explained everything. Not pushy at all regarding further treatments and he gives good advice. Highly recommend
