Needed somewhere very last minute to stay for the night and found Lost Guest House.. The lady Nisa, who was helping to check us in was an absolute life saver and incredibly helpful and kind considering the stress me and my partner where currently going through.. The bed was super comfy and the shower was roasting hot. We didn't get breakfast so I can't comment in that however for a quick stop over it's worth it. Thank you for your kindness and hospitality, we really did appreciate it.nLynda and Darren
Ok for a one night stop,would not like to have stayed longer. Never saw a member of staff. Room we had did not have any storage and we were unable to close window properly as one of the catches was missing making the room draughty. Bed was comfortable.
Really enjoyed the stay as a family of 3 - we had a warm welcome by Nisa, who takes care of everything : good, traditional breakfast for only 5£ is getting you ready for the day. Everything is comfortable and clean : would definitely recommend a stay!
Fantastic little guest house.nnWe stayed here for one night and it was perfect. We were up in the attic room and the only thing I found wrong was that the coat rail was hanging off the wall which left us nowhere to put our coats bar the floor. We decided to get breakfast in the morning for £5 and the lady was fantastic. She served us bacon, sausages, beans and egg and we could help ourself to as much toast and tea/coffee/juice as we’d like. We paid £29 for the night which is a bargain. I’d highly recommend staying here if you’re here for a couple of nights.
I wish i had never found this place.nnThe bed was good, i think that is the positive.nnThe room is small, just enough space to move around the bed. The bathroom door is hung on the wrong side, making it very awkward to enter/exit.nnCheck in was a farce. There is a door entry intercon, you buzz and soneone answers, but the sound is terrible and you cannot understand what is said.nnAnyway, the door opens and on a small shelf there are keys with invoices with a name in it. Hardly private, and you could help yourself to another room....our invoice said room 10 but the key had 9 on it. So i went to room 10 and tried the key, did not fit, so thought i would try room 9 next door. Knocked first, no answer and hey presto key worked...and someone was clearly staying in that room already. How can i have their key?nnSo back downstairs and called number, lady arrived 5 mins later very apologetic, provided correct key.nnRoom door very heavy and awkward to open, esp with luggage.nnWorst of all ...NOISE. Walls are paper thin. Woken one morning at 3am by someone watching TV, another morning by a loud argument on the phone, and at night could hear someone snoring. We work long hours and need a good sleep, not available here.nnI had the sense some of the guests live here, which i don't mind except that their schedule tends to be very different from what we find at a traditional hotel, and perhaps explains the early morning tv noise.nnI could go on, this really was not a good experience, i debated looking for somewhere else to stay but just did not have time. Suffice to say i will not return.
